Superb video, Andrew. I was looking for a budget microphone, easy to set up, and easy for myself and the wife to use for podcasts and maybe record some vocals on a very amateur level. Does anyone know what I can do about the sensitivity to background noise? This mic is perfect in every way but so far it is picking up too much and any software i've tried hasn't changed anything. I've also already checked out the levels in sound settings as well

So I'm concerned about the delay. I was thinking about multi track recording possibly with this mic to serve as a backup. Does the perceived delay mess with the timing if you are recording with a backtrack? I have no experience with usb microphones.

You should be absolutely fine without any delay also known as latency. If you do you can either - Decrease buffer size in Digital Audio Workstation. - Engage Low Latency Monitoring in Digital Audio Workstation. - Close all other programs using audio. - Disable all audio plugins in Digital Audio Workstation. - Reduce the number of digital audio hardware devices. - Monitor the microphone directly from the audio interface. These would all help. Good luck!

This mic would work well for a starter kit. Eventually your bf would benefit from using a stereo pair of mics going through an audio interface with decent pre amplifiers. However, to start with this mic would work just fine. Good luck!
