A dog we used to have that showed up after a hurricane would chase motorcycles. Specifically harleys. He would run in the grass and the guys would look over like >_>..? and then go faster to get away.

The hobbyists quality rc stuff is immeasurably better than the radio shack cars I grew up with. I don't know about this specific car, but I have a nitro rc car that hits about 80mph on asphalt. I use a battery powered "team losi" truck for dirt and can hit about 25mph comfortably... but that's while racing on an indoor track with jumps. It tops out around 40 in an open field.

A side note, these cars are typically built from kits and assembled from the ground up. Buying them pre-built is insanely expensive, but building a kit yourself can be very daunting... if anyone is interested in getting one, check your local rc clubs or eBay for a "ready to run" car.
