I love how you use foundation that actually matches your skin tone. That, to me, is one of the most important techniques in getting a natural ("realistic") flawless looking makeup application. The wrong shade will blow an entire look and I see it so much in YT videos and out in real life. The wrong shade looks very heavy & aging on the face. Your skin always looks flawless & youthful.

Cowgirl Kat AGREEEEED!! She’s always sure that we can see the subject matter at hand. Sadly, our shallow, shame-filled society probably makes a lot of people too nervous to zoom that deep in on their possible imperfections. I can’t speak to her story specifically - However; How many reasons can there be to not do precisely what your audience is asking? Idk she’s truly STUNNING and looks easily younger than I do and I’m 27 😂

A product I discovered a couple years ago was the Mally cosmetics Face Defender. I live in east TN and we get hot humid summers here as well. It saves my makeup from sliding off, and completely saved my makeup when we had showers at my niece's outdoor wedding. Guests were packed into a bit of tight quarters until the storm passed as she had her heart set on the outdoor affair. So we patiently waited, and sweated :-). Thankfully I was wearing my Face Defender, because no powder would have saved me. While I can't say my hair held up as well....

I love Flower Beauty and they have some new products. They are coming out with a new light illusion foundation. They have already come out with bronzing drops. Rather than using two different foundations. I just add a tiny bit of the bronzing drops to the foundation and use it around the perimeter of my face and keep the light in the center. I use their glow drops on the high points before foundation, tapping lightly with a flat brush. I don't use highlighter, because this gives a natural glow. I only powder in strategic areas as I am mature and have dry skin. I use Laura Mercier to set under my eyes and around my nose. I love creme products!!!. All of your tips have gone into my save. So I can reflect back as needed. I am in southern Oklahoma so we are in similar climates. TY Annemarie #CareEnough

Lisa could you please do a video where you apply the same foundation to one side of your face with with your Bk 101 and the other with the Bk 106 to demonstrate the differences, and discuss why one might be preferred over the other. Your brushes are fabulous...over 3 orders I have most all of them. I have the 101, but I can’t seem to get the technique down, as I get streaks. I really enjoy your videos. I've heard it before and you mention it here to set your under eye concealer with powder. Try as I might, (I've only tried a couple of different products), when I look in the mirror a couple of hours later it just looks so dry. Any other tips, or does it just not work for certain skin? You used my favorite, the 108 brush. 🙌🏼 I got one for my daughter who loves it as well. Initially I purchased your 101 brush but something about it wasn't quite working for me, I hesitated getting your 106 brush because it looked kind of small and I thought it would take too long to work in my foundation but I gave in when you had your Mother's Day special and I'm glad I did. I love this brush as well.

Thank you Lisa! I love your teaching videos. I go back and forth about setting my under eye area. Sometimes it just looks so dry but if I don’t then my mascara will transfer to that area ( I never put mascara on my bottom lashes for that reason). But I’ll try just a tad of powder instead. I always have trouble keeping foundation on and around my nose. It’s a dry area for me and sometimes the foundation just settles in the pores and looks dry. Should I use a primer on my nose? Thanks again. You’re a great teacher!

Hi! yes I have it. I like it,.. its very sheer coverage though... not as much coverage even as the Charlotte Tilbury. Wow!! I learn SO MUCH from ur videos! The teaching techniques in ur videos is so refreshing, vs me just following the trends (which often aren't what looks best on me). Questions: what's the difference between the foundation and concealer ingredients? Should you pick a shade of councealar that is one less than foundation? Are there any setting spray recommendations that aren't just a mist but actually help ur foundation/powder stay in place, especially when sweating?? Thanks again💋
