Happened to find this video on my homepage. I consider myself quite passionate about indie gaming: I follow many channels and I'm part of many devs groups on fb and other social. And I'm always looking for new indie games to play or just to give a look. Of course you can't know every single game in the world but the fact that I actually don't know many of the ones in this video speaks volume for the quality of this video, at least for me. I always hated those "indie games channel" talking about like Cuphead or Balatro or games with 2000/3000+ reviews on Steam as *underrated gems*. So like once a year I do a deep dive into Steam and just kinda keep scrolling through stuff that seems like it might be interesting and after a few hours, I usually have a list of 10-15 games to go back and check out and I'll MAYBE buy one of them. Just watching this video, I now have 25-30 that made enough of an impact for me to go check out tomorrow sometime and I'm certain I'll end up buying at least 10 of these. Would like to shoutout WORMHOLE here. It’s an extremely addictive reinterpretation of Snake, adapted to a roguelike format, where the twist is you can travel through portals. It’s competing with Magic Garden in UFO 50 for the best score chaser of the year.

Tank Team looks so fun but I don't have enough friends for it which is really unfortunate but at least it is free haha. not the most hidden gem but it is a shame I had never heard of it before. I highly recommend overwhelm (85% positives reviews for 200 reviews) It is a 2d platformer tween stick shooter with perma-death. It is really hard and the game punish most of the mistakes with death but beating it is so satisfying. It si not a roguelike because there is no random generation and the progression of the player is mainly knowledge in order to prepare the final run. It is good.
