I love how when AEW was beating nxt in the ratings, it was all we heard. Then when nxt destroys AEW they claim ratings don’t matter and why are we criticizing AEW because we should just enjoy wrestling.

The reason aew is failing is because tony didn't grow up in the business. He grew up loving the product on TV.

I mean to be fair Jeff Jarrett grew up in the business and both TNA and GFW failed so that ain't it. He is just a bad booker who even if he was good before, he's been doing this for too long and he can't handle it anymore. It takes a special type of person just to be a booker for a long period of time, let alone a good booker.

Thats why it's such a shame that he has so many resources and has Jarrett on the roster and he is not using him, along with all the other legends. Yes I know the wrestling business is died, or at least what used to be wrestling, and certain things won't work today that worked then but they still worked for so long and are still connected to the modern wrestling business, you mean to tell me Tony knows better than Jerry Lynn or Jarrett or whoever else. Jeff Jarrett also dealt with huge egos and big stars in his promotions, lot tougher to book them when they have all these stipulations in their contracts. Tony just can’t book and doesn’t crack down on the talent telling him “no”

I think the Je'Von botch was just a matter of trying too hard to make a moment. The flip and rotation he did made it extremely difficult to control where his head would be when he landed, compare that to the Evan Bourne RKO years ago, both guys knew exactly where to be and could get there with comparative ease. It was still a good match though and I think Je'Von will be somebody in a few years time.

Rampage and Collision were down as well. Now that TK has his deal, the ratings no longer matter. AEW fans don't need to watch Dynamite in order to ensure that AEW survives. So they'll wait for the PPVs which is where all the important stuff happens anyway.

Tony should have accepted that they have a massive cruiser/light heavyweight division from years ago. John Silver would've been crazy over as cruiser champ. Especially after the Dark Order gained so much support after Brodie Lee's unfortunate passing. By now the division would've been fleshed out and a lot more people would have something to do, but atp it might not even work. There's so many other titles now smh
