Tony khan is an example of someone who has too much money and never had any friends... its almost like he's giving out money just to be liked. Maybe even like a rich incel. Maybe that's why meltzer likes him so much

Cody is smart….he left the WWE, marketed himself, and got a fatter contract to return. Cody is running a marathon while others are running sprints.

Cody had to leave because fans wanted him to turn heel. But had he done that, he would have undercut MJF and it would have fucked all of AEW’s plans up. As much as it concerns me as a Cody fan, I hope the best for him. I think the split needed to happen for both parties. That said, the promos was not that bad... He wasn’t that bad... I think saying Cody was trying to be “Jesus Cody” is a fucking crazy to me because I truly believe he was just speaking from the heart... Is he trying to blend real life with wrestling and make the world a better place with a promo? Absolutely. Is there ego with that? Sure... But everyone has an ego. It doesn’t change the fact he was trying to do some good deeds at least. He had some good stuff still while being a crowd chosen heel, and did put Sammy on the way out. Also, for the record... If no one wants to listen to Tony Khan, please tell me why FTR and Young Bucks had a match praised by Russo, Cornette, and Meltzer!? Those 3 never agree on shit... Not just that, MJF was signed to a multi year deal prior to a lot of the big stars coming in... I think Tony does see the value of MJF. He’s got a world title run coming by taking the belt off of Punk in the rubber match (I assume Hangman looses to Punk at DoN), and then MJF is elevated and will get paid then... IF THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN, then I’ll agree and we can say you guys are right. I’ll happily agree that Tony is that much of a money mark if he won’t give the belt to PUNK and give it to MJF soon after. If they don’t do that, that’s a huge problem. But let’s see what actually happens in the next 6 months to a year.

No. Cody had to leave because he seen the way the company was going creatively. He fully remembers what type of wrestling promotion he and Tony promised they would deliver in 2019 in a Busted Open interview, and 3 years later, they've delivered next to none of that because Tony would rather listen to the Bucks & Omega and go "All In" on nonsensical comedy horseshit. Why do you think AEW just signed a partnership with Japanese comedy (pedophile grooming) company DDT Pro? Cody wanted the "serious, sports based, old school style wrestling product that will bring back the fans who quit watching years ago" that he and Tony promised. They promised a serious alternative to WWE, and what they are is "Alternative WWE".

@@gfear24 Cody likes that type of wrestling yes. You know who else does? CM Punk... Also, FTR... Also, MJF. I think their fine on that “old school serious” wrestling. Plus, AEW do follow their rankings to an extent. You know who else does? UFC. But you know what companies go against the grain of the rankings from time to time? UFC and AEW. So, there goes the sports presentation argument. That’s been followed to a T as well. Oh, and since you’ve been talking like your the second coming of Jim Cornette, I’ll happen to let you know he enjoyed a majority of Dymanite this week because it was booked seriously, and PRAISED A YOUNG BUCKS PERFORMANCE, along with FTR... Again, I think they are fine. AEW is a company that also promotes all kinds of wrestling. This can be anywhere from Lucha spotsfests, to some ECW like spotfests, to Japanese Strong Style like matches... This is up to and including comedy to some extent. You know who else did? WWE and WCW during the attitude era. Their business didn’t suffer. Their business increased. You know why? Because there wasn’t people like you and me running a muck on social media with arguments over what really boils down to a form of entertainment, a form of sport. I think that has hurt wrestling more than what AEW is doing creatively. Now, I have seen very few DDT/Tokyo Joshi shows. Last I checked, they are not my cup of tea... But I never once thought they were grooming children and creating pedos at all. I think they are just a really wacky adult style wrestling comedy show. That’s all they really are. I highly doubt them to be anything of the nature, unless there’s evidence that shows nefarious activity. If there is, then I’ll admit I’m wrong and retract that, but is also depends if it was the company, OR the wrestler doing that shady activity. With all that said, if AEW focused on one type of style, the show would suffer. I think history has shown different styles and philosophy of how wrestling works prove better results... Look at last weeks Young Bucks and FTR match? Cornette, Russo, AND Meltzer said the match was fantastic. These 3 guys can’t agree on shit, so that should tell you a lot.

Cody, in a fan sense, definitely brought a lot of this criticism on himself. He literally smashed a HHH throne for an entrance. That said, the older you get, the more you understand that, quite often, the babyface you see is really the heel you don't see. And I say that to say that, in my opinion, it would be a mistake to prop up other wrestlers to denigrate Cody, because more than likely they are just the heels you don't see.

Man, fans need to calm down on this sort of stuff. Like, for example, fans supporting CM Punk and who declared that Rhodes wasn't worth what Punk was making. Guess what, Punk didn't show up to AEW until he had a contract that made him the highest paid in the company. A contract that DEFINITELY puts him into the seven figures.
