Tony Leung is one of the finest actors Hong Kong has ever produced. He is up there with the legendary Chow Yun-Fat.

Tony Leung stands out as one of the most versatile and consummate artists in HK's golden era of entertainment, and that is saying a lot. IMHO, we're talking about some of the most hardworking and dedicated entertainers and filmmakers in the world. Folks like Chow Yun Fat, Jackie Chan, Andy Lau, Wong Kar Wai, Ann Hui, Leslie Cheung, Tsui Hark, Maggie Cheung, Anita Mui, Tony Leung Kar Fai, etc. literally gave up their youth and adult life in dedication to the art of Chinese/HK cinema. They didn't always get paid the megabucks that Hollywood A-listers enjoy, or even the multi-million dollar endorsement deals of today's Mainland stars, but what they didn't lack was passion to constantly defy the odds and push the artistic envelope despite limited resources. Today their works are widely discussed and heralded by international film critics and enjoyed by global audiences. Tony Leung is among the brightest stars in that wonderful constellation. Despite an illustrious career and genre-defining oeuvre spanning four decades, he remains as humble and loveable as that talented young actor from the 80s that won our hearts in the HK period drama Lu Ting Ji (The Deer and the Cauldron). How time flies!

@@YorgosL1 Now they are. But for the longest time, they were working for peanuts at TVB, yet they worked their asses off with a vision to make a name for themselves, and in turn, shaped the HK entertainment empire in the 1980s and 1990s.

I first knew of the actor Tony from tv series… back then he played two characters; a man who found out he was cloned and took over his life.. and his clone… and so he planned to get his life back. It was a very complicated plot at that time but refreshing.

Naa…He just a low key short dude wanna showoff and be the best but still low. In my opinions, I think Michael Miu, Felix Wong and Andy Lau are way more better actors, like their herotics dramatic made them betters and different actors during the 80s- 90s then Leung. Andy Lau - The Return of Condor Hero Felix Wong- Legend of Condor Hero Michael Miu- Legend of Condor Hero Top 3 greatest tvb series and best actors in Hong Kong! Part of the 5 TVB tigers 🐅 3 handsome tall men, big strong 💪 ! Can play any role! Leung, is like a stephen chow typed of guy! He can be a funny typed of actor! Don’t get me wrong!!! He IS A GREAT actor too, but compared to the other 3! His level is not there yet! Thats my opinion of what I see! I hope I am wrong, but God knows I am 100 percent correct!
