Ha, those nice recognizable sounds of putting a VHS tape into the VCR... And than that nice Outfield-sound that makes Spinks on his cloud nod with respect to what his Earthling-buddy made all by himself, playing all the instruments, mixing and producing this AOR gem ! So sad the story will stop here for good. But what a great gift TL left behind for the fans, before starting his final trip...

This is an awesome tune, my kind of music, felt like 1985!! I'm 55yrs old and this song gave me cold shivers. No doubt the 80's was the greatest era in music hands down. People, we lost a great singer/musician in Tony Lewis .....he never lost his talents at all, just really sad knowing we won't hear any new treasures from him but cherish what he gave to the world music industry. RIP Tony Lewis thanks for everything you have given and not giving up. Another great rock star gone..........

A fantastic musician and one of the best Pop/Rock voices from the 1980's. I discovered The Outfield and Tony Lewis in 2018. Tony and The Outfield deserved much more recognition and success that they had. RIP Tony, I'm sorry I never found your music earlier in my life.......

I'm here to show respect. Not surprising it Sounds like something right of The Outfield's 80s albums. Greatness Never Dies just gets better with age. what makes this music so great? He could do these songs live and they sounded awesome. Peace to you Tony Lewis. You know in the past 3 weeks we've lost a lot of the great ones in the music industry. God has created quite a powerband up there. They gotta be jamming in heaven No Doubt

The trademark The Outfield sound is still there from first listen onwards, so much going on in one song. I first listened to The Outfield in 1989 and wondered why I had not heard of a band from the east end of London who had taken the US by storm a few years earlier. I wasted no time in familiarising myself with their work- Voices of Babylon and My Paradise are a strong memory for me from 1989. They remain incredible songs, and have not lost their power thirty one years later. I fail to understand why Britain did not embrace The Outfield. Perhaps it was because music in Britain was changing and maybe becoming more resistant to rock, especially bands that sounded so American. Other than Def Leppard, I cannot think of a British band who managed to create a distinct sound of their own that was tailor made for the US charts, in the process sounding more American than many homegrown bands from the States. When ' For You' was released in 1991 I absolutely loved it. My local commercial radio station in the Northwest, Rock FM, gave it heavy air play as it fitted their demographic and sounded great on radio, but it was ignored everywhere else and by Radio 1. No Radio 1 play, no hit was the usual scenario at the time. All of the albums by The Outfield are great, singles and album tracks alike. Rockeye is a great album which I loved ( and still do) in the early nineties. Under a Stone is one of my favourites. 'Winning it All' should have been a soundtrack to sporting montages- I am surprised television channels did not pick up on it in the UK. I am glad I discovered The Outfield when I did and grateful for the enjoyment their music has provided for so long. I was saddened by John Spink's death but the band's legacy is secure and I hope Tony Lewis continues to prosper in his life and music.

Tony, you sound fantastic!! I was a child in the 80s and of course was familiar with “Your Love.” Then a couple of months ago I was in a bar and they played “For You.” I almost burst into tears in the middle of the bar, the song was so pure and your vocals so intense. I bought up every Outfield album I could find and I’ve been listening ever since. I was thrilled to hear you’d put out a solo album because I’m a “voice girl” through and through, and few singers can match the quality of your voice. You sound exactly the same, like a million bucks! Thanks for the music, Tony!
