Actually, I've met Tony several times and he is incredibly cool. He's very down to earth, talented, and an exceptional pianist as well. This sets him apart from many guitar players. Shredding is one thing. But his composition and skill are rarely ever matched in the same phrase.

Tony, I saw you in the 90s at the Whiskey in Hollywood and was blown away! Small audience and some blond girl kept trying to touch your hands. You did some amazing things! You played a sweep up arpeggio and tapping down arpeggio I tried to understand what you were doing and when I got back home, I tried to play it. It has been with me for over 10 years. Thank you for inspiring me.

@6672rock10 жыл бұрын
It's a testament to what a great talent Tony is that he can shred on two instruments. That's why I thought it funny when he was in Steve Vai's backing band several years ago. By that I mean, Tony can play circles around Steve when it comes to guitar, yet he was relegated to playing mostly rhythm and harmony leads. If anything isn't right, it's forcing Tony to take a backseat to other guitar players instead of giving him equal or better footing.
