I agree with your statement. This is my grandfather’s era of country music, may have been basically facts back in the day this kinda shit actually happened , lol . Everyone is soft and offended so easily in this new society , without the intent of those offending . I’m glad to see satire in country music again. Nice to see people who can laugh and parody themselves. I had a little guy friend and they would clear the bar for him to to back flips. Nobody messed with him and was well respected. Unfortunately died young in an accident. I have always said give me the biggest baddest man in the barroom before messing with one of those fast and quick little guys that will lay a whipping on you. if your going to take a beating you don't want to be embarrassed along with it. The bigger they are the harder the fall. In the same bar one night four cops walked in, took a look around and one of them politely spoke up and asked "would you guys please not fight tonight" and then turned around and walked back out the door they came in. The whole bar busted out with laughter and tempers calmed down and everybody back too drinking and having fun the rest of the night. Lee Marvin the famous rough and tough actor and WW2 veteran called it the funnest and hardest drinking town he had ever been in from when he was in the movie Paint Your Wagon with Clint Eastwood. Ranchers, Loggers, Railroaders, Farmers, etcetera. Not a town were causing trouble was tolerated. Just another tourist town these days.
