Tony Parker - Phenomenal Footwork

Tony Parker is a master of the jumping off the wrong foot in order to beat a shot blocker to the rim. By jumping off the right foot for a righty finish, the defender can’t chop his steps or measure the shot. He can jump off of either foot, and finish with either hand. Tony can jab dribble all day, and use a two footed gather to get his patented teardrop over ANY defender. He’s got a myriad of post moves, pump fakes, reverse pivots, step-throughs.
Four NBA championships. One Finals MVP. One FIBA Eurobasket MVP. Six All Star appearances Tony Parker has accomplished just about everything that can be done, and yet, somehow, he’s still underrated. Sure, he’s lost a step or two, but at the age of 33, is that really surprising? While Tony doesn’t have the athleticism of a Rose or Westbrook, or the handles of a Kyrie or Steph, he can absolutely still finish with the best of them. That is in no small part thanks to his mastery of moves, and his fundamentally fantastic footwork. Pay attention to his gather, how quickly he plants his feet to elevate. Take note of which leg he jumps off, on which side of the floor, with which hand he uses to finish. I can tell you that if you pay attention to the little things, like Parker does, your game will be all the better for it.

he looked pretty good when he had Derick fisher guarding him. lol that really cemented his legacy. but i think hes a little overrated actually. the last ten years he thinks he always has derrick fisher guarding him and instead of finding more exploitable options on the court he tries to be a hero. still a beast but ...so is every point guard in the leauge these days.

He shredded Memphis, one of the best defensive teams at that time in the conf finals 2013 if you have a doubt... (a lot more examples but that one speaks louder!)

GREAT upload my friend. I feel like Tony is a little bit under appreciated, I'm pretty sure that these kids today don't known much about this hall of famer, sad. This is the pg that has been killing it in playoff time for more than a decade, finals mvp. Absolute champ. His footwork is so smooth and unique, you don't see lot of guards finishing in the paint like that. Such a smart player. Think we won't see this kind of talent again for quite some time, it's really uncommon. Pivots, spin moves, hesitation moves, scoops and of course a tremendously quickness and a killer floater! Thanks again!!

I loved Tony's 2011-2014 stretch of his career. So great at getting to the basket and great at finishing with an arsenal of shots. Could spin it off the glass, finger roll, or use his patented tear drop floater. Not to mention in those years he was among the league leaders in points in the paint as a 6'2 point guard

One of the best (if not the best) spin moves and finisher of all time. I'm a die hard Spurs fan and the Big 3 have all been underrated throughout their careers. That probably has something to do with the fact that they play such a team oriented game and with each other, but they are definite certain HoF with their own unique skill sets. Can you do one on Manu as well? His passes, Euro-step, and overall smarts and creativity is amazing.

Like pop said, his "system" hits the stats of his stars but make no mistake, parker as 19 year old rookie was a starter for a championship team and making damage in the playoffs, for 15 years , that's what I call talent , Imo the greatest pg finisher of his time, look about his fg%, fg% made in the paint for years only dwade was his competition (only 2 guards that where as efficient as a big man, but d wade as sg).the Big 3 of the spurs are gonna end underappreciated and underrated, mostly because, fanstats. But well 4 rings, and a lot of records (+50 more wins n a row ,over %500 in the road , etc...)

Of all the PGs through out the history, he's the best finisher near the rim, period. All the other good finisher PGs may match his speed and quickness, but Tony's special. He can do post moves while maintaining fast speed, that's nightmare for defenders.
