2 conscious tv interviews directly confilct with the notion that "awakening" occurs spontaneously to someone who has nevr seeked at all- francis lucille and elie-jackson bear. Tony himself was an ardent seeker himself as was jeff foster both who now say that its sekking which is the problem.

Well said gefftom, how can an individual seek the individual? Its like looking for the pencil that is in you're hand, but you can not find it! Beuatiful G

It's like looking for your phone or glasses and then realizing you already have it/them

I wonder if there are different types of enlightenment. Those I have read about usually have one thing in common which is "suffering", which could be seen as the process of releasing the energetic contraction of individuality.

Just close your eyes and then open them and there it is all happening everywhere all by itself.Do this over and over again and maybe ones false self will dissolve!!

@WhatisBuddah It may sound that way to you, but in my experience it can be extremely frightening when you actually get a real touch of what he's talking about. To the individual it is death.

@swingtrade2 - Who wants to know? Who is there to care? Of course there is an "apparent" you and me, but It is virtually impossible to discuss non dualist concepts without slipping into dualist language occasionally. Otherwise every other word in every sentence would have to be something like "apparent". Imagine Neo and Morpheous in the Matrix film saying things like "Fly that apparent helicopter over that apparent building!" It would get silly.

@TeknoFunk There is no "you" to look at life. Once you experience what he is talking about there is simply nobody and there never was. Being is just being. Life is just "living".

Think of a genie that morphs into people and things and decides what they do and what happens. Some people know they are the genie's morphs (i.e. that they are really the genie) some have clarity of this concept but don't sense it; other morphs think they are 'real people' with free will. Imagine the genie is all there is and that it exists in no space and no time (it creates those concepts too) It is all there is. It is writing this note. It is also reading this note. Sorry if this scares you!

somehow it doesn't seem logical that the person becomes more fully himself after the realization that he's not an individual... as if he were still an individual... subject to cause and effect... although who knows within this movie I seem to be part of... and all of... from which even that illogicalness cannot be extracted...
