From reading these comments I'm surely confused why people think that having fun a drum kit and hitting a fat groove, makes you arrogant. If anyone was to play slowed down tune like this one, and hits a great feeling fill, you'll make some "arrogant" faces too. Its joy, not arrogance.

What we listen and percieve as music and 'mistakes' and flaws etc. depends on what type of person listens to the music. Not everyone has the same taste and ears etc. I personally like Royster, great drumming.

57s on everything. Interesting choice.
@DukeDamnChin10 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with 57's on the toms/snare. You can make up for the body of the sound with good overheads and room mics. That'll get you the extra oomph if you want it. Now a 57 on a kick? No thanks. :P

I can't believe all these cats nit-picking on his snare sound etc. dude have you cats ever recorded before it's not the final mix what your hearing is raw, the most important thing you should be listening too is, the groove, tempo and if his fills fit the song.....I swear rookies....
