I wish I could meet him. He seems to be a real man and a good human being. And talented and special and interesting. He is one of my (not many, actually two, counting him and without counting my mother) role models and a father figure for me. But sadly l will never even get to see him for real.

Tony Shalhoub is LEBANESE and NOOOOOOOT ARAB .. please respect his origins , and stop imposing the ARAB identity on every lebanese success , to brighten up the image of Arabs on the backs of Lebanese international talents , and in the same time to hide everything that makes Lebanese identity special and different melting it in the sterile and fanatic Arab , drastically opposite to Lebanon's opened and free environment

Phoenican Lebanese wtf are you talking about Lebanese people speak Arabic (some french but mainly Arabic) so they are Arabs.
@firasharb14544 жыл бұрын
amal zuhair it’s not just the fact that we speak Arabic . Our ethnicity and overall essence IS Arab and there is NOTHING for us to be ashamed about that . Being Arab is who we ARE . Why are so many Lebanese ashamed and deny this ???

Firas Harb Because Pierre Gemayel tried to give the Lebanese an independent identity, which is understandable given that he wanted separation from Syria, as did many Maronites. There is truth in that the culture of the Levant, that of the Maghreb, and that of the Arabian Desert are totally different, even if the Lebanese aren't Phoenician.
