It's sad that he chose a life of crime and murder. It's sad that he killed a lot of people. And yes, it's also sad that he and his brother suffered a terrible death themselves as well. If we can learn anything from his life it should be this. If you live a life of crime. Robbing people, pissing off powerful people, killing people and involved with MOB people, sooner or later it's going to come back to haunt you. This proves that in the MOB there really is no loyalty. They used Tony to make a lot of money skimming casino's. They used him to do their dirty by having him kill people for them. Then when too much heat came down on him they killed him because it was easier to get rid of him then try and hide him or help him to get out of trouble. That's just how it is.

While I agree with most of what you said, alot of it was on Tony. He was doing alot of things without permission out in Vegas. The Outfit's decision to let Tony run wild in Vegas was a bad one. Things went to Tony's head, sleeping with Rosenthal's wife, unscanctioned hits, robberies. I'm not sure what The Outfit expected out of Tony, just like in Casino, he had to make a living out there.

LAS VEGAS may have been one of the biggest cash cows the mafia had back then and tony spilotro according to some was high ranking and to others he was just a soldier.....what everyone seems to agree on is.... tony had a nice money making operation on the streets of vegas......did it ever occur to anyone that spilotro was maybe not the type to pay off any corrupt fbi officials wanting a piece of his robust money Making operation so as a result of that the fbi made him out to be 10 times worse than he actually was?.......jesus christ ....i not saying its gospel but in my humble opinion a distinct possibilty...especially in light of the lack of evidence against spilotro even after all these years...

He didn't look good, looked sick and tired. Strange to think that he would just beat up anybody, he was so small:) I noticed his kid-brother Michael was in the group too, what a horrible death they got...
@Jimbo80126 жыл бұрын
+brimse80 - Edited my original response as I thought he was 55. I obviously can't add up. This was in 1983 and it was actually his 45th birthday on that day. Years of drugs, drink and late night partying had obviously taken it's toll. You're right...he looks shit for someone who's only 45. As for beating people up, his best days at this point are well behind him but you have to remember that he's a fucking psycho who would likely bite, gouge eyes, use weapons etc. He wouldn't have been remotely concerned about the consequences of breaking the law so would have fought with far greater intensity and viciousness than an average Joe. This is also exacerbated by the fact that a lot of people would have been frightened to hit back due to his reputation and the fact that he was a mob member. Even if you beat him in a fight, he or someone else would likely murder you and your family.

@@Jimbo8012 Exactly, Spilotro in the 80s didn't have to lift a finger. People that owed him money, or witnesses, whatever the case they knew his reputation and who he was with. Nobody was gonna fuck with him.

Hi,there is a book called The Enforcer by William F. Roemer,a former FBI agent and it explains a good bit about Tony and the Chicago Outfit and the different encounters William Roemer had with these men in taking them down.I think it was he who gave the name "the ant" to Tony Spilotro. The book also explains about Mad Sam De Stefano,Tony Accardo and Frank Cullotta who was Tony's right hand man. Frank Cullotta also has his own book as well.Thanks for the video,very interesting.

I wouldn't call this a perp walk. He just walked free on one of the many cases they failed to convict him. In fact he was never convicted of anything before the outfit killed him. BTW, where he says "watch yourself" at 1:33. Joe Pesci to took that line exactly in Casino. In fact at exactly 1 hour 38 minutes and 28 seconds into the move. Same damn suit too. Only difference is in the movie they didn't film it in front of the federal courthouse in Chicago.
