People from DC know all about Tony Woods. He’s been in the game for a long time. He’s been a mentor for Dave Chappell for years.

i just discovered him today, and couldn't believe how similar his style is to Dave Chappelle. Then I saw your comment. Makes alot of sense. Just weird never heard someone famous mention his name.

@@ramirami601 He’s a local legend in the DMV. He makes us proud. I used to live across the street from Dave Chappelle’s grandmother. I used to see him visiting her when he was a kid. We just knew him as Ms. Chappelle’s grandson.

@@pisces363 man amazing. wish i could meet Dave. Just saw the Twain speech again and saw when Dave validates him copying him in his early years. Amazing. I remember the guitar analogy as i saw the speech years ago but for some reason Tony Woods just never stuck with me and I never looked him up. I also saw the boogar on me, sounds a bit similiar to Dave's guy masturbating on a train bit. Dave Chappelle and Norm Macdonald are my two favourite comedians and grew up watching their stand up shows and movies. so when i found about this guy today, and saw your comment, i initially was like was Dave copying this guy?? felt a staunch in my stomach, then saw the Twaim speech and it all made sense, Dave was honest about it and i could also see what Dave did, he was trying to be like his favourite comics, but that journey finally took him to the way he performs now, it was really amazing just understanding my favourite comics journey and how he was shaped over the years. btw if you see Dave, say this Muslim guy from New Zealand loves you and would love to chat lol but really honest would be amazing to do that

How could you just post him getting warmed up without any payoff? He barely had time to get funny!
