Takam the ultimate gatekeeper. He always gives elite fighters problems but they will usually beat him. Obviously Yoka does not fall in that category.

i think usyk would beat takam but a younger takam would cause a lot of issues because of the strength, size, relentlessness and because he is shorter too so harder to tag clean

Où est passé le jab de Tony Yoka? Il semble évidemment qu'il n'était pas physiquement prêt, ou suffisamment mature pour Takam. Il a rangé son jab tout simplement parce qu'il était trop occupé à tenir les mains fermes et hautes, avec ses biceps et ses coudes crampés sur ses côtes, c'est tout ce qu'il a été en mesure de faire dans ce combat.

Le problème de Tony c'est vraiment son manque de punch, il est trop "fin" , en comparaison avec un Joshua qui fait lui aussi 2 mètres ya pas photo... Takam est plus lourd que lui tout en faisant 20 cm de moins, yoka a plutôt le profil d'un basketteur style Joachim Noah, ya aucun moyen qu'il mette dans le mal un poid lourd avec sa condition actuelle

You can see the punches with a high guard but his issue is he smothers himself he doesn’t use his height and reach he waits wayyyy too much 💯 and he’s slow

Because Joyce (and plenty others) got robbed. Simple as that. Yoka is a decent boxers in terms of knowing how to throw punches and move during ideal conditions (not being pressured or facing a master/slick boxer). Whenever he got pressured, you can see that his first instinct is to stand still and cover up - something that those who are not well-trained with their feet often do. I am pretty sure if he face boxers that can move well like Usyk, Frank Sanchez, Lenier Pero, or Jalolov, he would get beat soundly too, just in different fashion. And this is probably karma for those who helped rig his way to the Olympic and World Championship golds back in the amateur. It incentivized him to not improve his skills which is dangerous because the amateur bouts only contain three rounds where you use bigger gloves and rules are more strict in terms of what you are allowed to do. Thus Yoka did not feel the impact for not having good footwork. In the pros it's different story obviously and there we saw it.
