It's amazing how torn people in the Theatre community get over the Tonys. It's seriously like a Civil War, about how so-and-so got their Tony stolen by so-and-and-so, how their musical wasn't even mentioned in its proper category; all this chaos is...it's kind of beautiful. FALSETTOS DESERVED ALL THE TONYS IN THE WORLD!!! ANDREW AND BRANDON COULD'VE OF TOTALLY SPLIT THE TROPHY IN HALF. WHERE IS STEPHANIE?!?!?!?!? ANTHONY DESERVES A CATEGORY ALL ON HIS OWN!!! Jackson DeStefano Saigon shouldn't have gotten a choreography or direction nod. As much as I love the show those two parts of the show didn't seem to change much. They should have been nominated for Set Design, Jon Jon, Lighting Design and orchestrations. As much as I love Rachelle she would never have been nominated for a Tony because her role is only in the first thirty minutes of the show. However *knock wood* I think she'll get an Olivier nomination for Hamilton as Eliza. As of right now there doesn't seem to be many outstanding performances for musicals in the West End *Knock wood*

not surprising, this list. a lackluster year on the great white way for sure. aggravating the wonderful phillipa soo is not nominated for the role she originated in great comet, having instead to be a part of the "mess" that is amelie. she was phenomenal in comet, and deserving of the award for that performance. happy for ben platt and andy karl, both equally deserving, a bit confused over the snubs of allison janney and jon jon briones, both great performances. and bette, loved you for decades, you are the goddess, and i am sure tony will go home with you. this is one of those time where tony should be divided in half and given for applause without performance for miss m, and to noblezada for performance alone. she was amazing in saigon!

romanaskas west Yeah, but she originated in the off-Broadway. Denée most definitely did deserve the nomination as she plays a spectacular Natasha, and is considered an original cast member.

not saying denee was not good, she was okay, but no comparison to phillipa. soo was it, the complete package. didn't really feel any chemistry between denee and josh. the whole production, staging, costumes this time around was so spectacular, the performances seemed better than they actually are. still, the first time i saw it in the tent on a chilly new york night, soo's performance is the one i remember. totally blew me away. heartbreaking! a magic moment in the theater!
