Never throw away those batteries. They have lead as well as hydrochloric acid that needs to be recycled along with the plastic. Take them to a recycling center that takes batteries. That was a hobby battery that was probably left on the beach by someone.

Yer absolutely right Eddie. That actually did occur to me on the way home. So that little battery is now sitting next to 2 old 6V deep cycle batteries which will be going to my local toxic waste recycler next time I go. A small point: Battery acid is sulfuric acid (H2SO4), not hydrochloric. A lead-acid battery with sulfuric acid just gives off oxygen and hydrogen whereas hydrochloric acid would be oxidized to produce chlorine gas at the anode. Nasty stuff😄 Thanks for the input bud..

Your local auto salvage yard actually pay pretty good money for lead acid batteries. At one point they were paying $10 for car batteries. Its the scrap lead theyre after.

@@TonyEisenhower great to hear. We throw away so much stuff. I use to toss out anything but over the year's I have gotten my trash down to a single bag a week since I recycle. I think many cities don't do as good as they can on recycling. We should do better.

The double hearts ring is DEFINITELY a James Avery silver ring. Avery is headquartered here in Texas (Kerrville, TX). Mr. Avery died about a year ago, in his nineties.

I don’t like the onboard wind filter. It distorts my voice too much. I installed a dead cat and am pretty happy with the results.
