I'm 35. I've heard about soul ties since I was a young teen,mostly by Pastors. They are very real. I came to the realization that after being married for 10years,my soon to be ex-husband and I have a strong tie that is going to take some extreme healing to break. We've separated many times,and tried to reconcile a few times. I used to believe it was because our live was so deep for one another,but using discernment; I understand that it's the soul-tie,the familiarity we have that draws us back to one another. I believe that when you're unequally yoked,you can have a toxic soul-tie. You've been around someone for so long,learned their behaviors and have adapted to it,and or taken on said behavior. You really need to detoxify, mentally, spiritually, emotional, and even physically. Most importantly, complete healing.

I’m 53 yrs old, and I was raised by a very Christian woman and a promiscuous man. I learned that it is difficult for a woman to go from man to man, even a “loose female”, its not our nature. And a man who usually goes from woman to woman is messed up mentally; usually alcohol and drugs involved and immature.God made us in His image, to be with 1 mate. My mother believed this and followed Gods law, my father did not nor myself. I am several years celibate and not dating due to the soul ties I had with my son father. True Repentance brings healing...that’s what breaks the soul tie. When David repented God forgave him and he was able to receive the healing he needed. God has forgiven you but you have to receive the healing he is offering in order to break that soul tie.

That's why it really is so important to be aware of not only the energy we are attracting, but of the energy we allow to linger around us. I don't necessarily agree with the idea that you only attract what you are. I believe that there are people who are attracted to you because of the energy you exude, and these people can reciprocate in either a restorative or a draining way. Especially when it comes to sex.

Definitely found an avid listener. I am blown away by the information i shouldve known growing into a young woman and WHY its important. So many layers...so much conditioning over the years. Can you talk about emotional soul ties? I came close to the physical soul tie, but thank God He saved me in spite of what I was going to do. I still struggle with feelings for this person, even though he ghosted me and showed me who he was. I know I will get past this, but it's still a struggle.

We have to be thankful that moments happen and look at what it was suppose to teach you. What did you learn from it. Thanks @Tracy G and @Megga_Woman!!! @Tea Ben, no. I was very naive at the time. I told him from the start that I didn't believe in sex before marriage, but I put myself in bad situations. I went to his place twice and he tried, but I would leave before it got too heavy. I thought kissing was okay, but find it can lead to other things. We weren't at that level because I didn't want it to get that far. He was the only man I have ever "dated" and I can't even call it that. Knowing what I know now, God looked out for me. I could have been raped .When I decided that I wanted to because he was talking about a ring, he said he didn't know how he felt about me. It was all a game because he came back and I told him we could take it slow, but that I wouldn't put myself in those situations again and that I wouldn't kiss him anymore. It seemed like he wanted more than a kiss and I kept telling him that I couldn't give him more than that, so I took that off the table, too. I asked to talk about it and he kept making excuses. Then I was ghosted. That's when my heart was broken.

@Priscilla x How to break it, I may not be able to answer that. I think soul tie or not, we are all connected. People come into our lives not by accident, even if the experience was unpleasant. The things we do to and with one another have an effect. No one is a one-man island. A soul tie can be created with anyone, lover, friend, relatives, etc. It's just that many think sex makes them stronger. That is NOT true from personal experience and it sounds like yours as well. I've experienced very strong soul ties with both people I have been with sexually and those I have not. Some were friends and family, some were a lover, crush/potential relationship. Depending on how that relationship is a affecting you, I would explore that connection rather than try to eliminate it. Again, all soul ties aren't bad. The ones that you need to break, you will know. They have a larger negative impact than a positive one. But even some that were "negative" had a purpose. They teach you about yourself, the spiritual realm and human dynamics, among other things.

@Priscilla x I'm probably not the best to tell you how to get out of it. I wish I knew how to escape them faster myself lol. In one distant example, time broke it and then an few encounters that led to closure. But I still believe I met that person for a reason, just not the reason I hoped for back then. Our connection began with sex. I thought once I could get free from it that would never happen again, until I met someone else later whom I have never been with, but have a similar but even stronger connection to. I will say though that soul ties aren't created by us. It is a spiritual/soul connection. We may open the door to some, but the knitting of souls to me is not the handy work of men, hence why they seem so hard to escape. Give it time and see how that person in your life is meant to serve you or vice versa. We like to think these types of connections will result in marriage if it's between a man and woman... maybe, maybe not. There are lot of theories and possible explanations about it, that fit your life's journey.
