Thanks. Tony. I'm sure you already know this, but Google Translate does a good job speaking Finnish. I've used it and copied the audio using Audacity with several languages and the accent is pretty good. Thanks for the vids. Always appreciated.

Tony, it's a great exercice to remember words and expressions, I'm just wondering how can I use it when I have the basic structure of the language and I want to express my thoughts as you said for a level B1 o B2 level?

Good question ... I'll keep it in mind for an upcoming video

Hi Tony, what a great channel. You have the most interesting method I have come across. I am adapting my content to match your method. I also attach a number time to sentences so I can memorise with a memory palace. Good matrix method keep up the great work I appreciate all you produce.

Finnish is a good language for this approach because it is surprisingly regular in its application of its rules. It’s also one of the most beautiful sounding languages in the world … it’s just the spelling that is scary :D

What do you do with auxiliary verbs? Do you highlight them
@LanguageMatrix5 күн бұрын
You can ... the point of highlighting is to separate constants from variables ... whatever is highlighted (or whatever isn't) is constant, and the other part is changeable. With that in mind, you can interact with this language quantum field matrix in a creative way that makes sense to you.

For Finnish, remember to speak as if you are greatly depressed and there is no point to life and you are just going through the motions. Then you will sound native 🤣

How do you go about developing your reading to a C1-C2 level in a reasonable length of time ? If so, could you do a video with Spanish as the example.

The weakness of all these fancy "learn any language fast" methods is simple, how do you learn a lot of vocabulary fast? Tons of vocabulary. Really fast. Because without a large amount of vocabulary, meaningful communication is simply impossible. And the minimum vocabulary you need to know in any language is around 3,000. If anyone in the world could solve this dilemma, a Nobel Prize is guaranteed. So far, no method is known that would enable you to learn 3,000 words in a foreign language in three months.
@vitzuja59438 күн бұрын
And I always thought that these methods are first and foremost designed to get you to a point from which you’d be able to slowly build an extensive vocabulary on your own, if needed. Every journey begins with a single step, and you can only take one step at a time. Complaining that you’re not moving at lightning speed when walking is unrealistic, to say the least.

@@vitzuja5943 What you describe is the "traditional method" of learning a language, which takes years not months for a descent knowledge to communicate. But all these modern "linguists" claim, that it is possible in months or even weeks. And this is definitely impossible on my opinion. It is against human nature.
@vitzuja59438 күн бұрын
@@maybeide8078 I was more focused on common sense than on some "traditional method." Young children have very limited vocabularies, and yet, they absolutely can engage in a conversation using that limited vocabulary, and even talk ceaselessly for hours, to their parents' despair. Learning such a limited vocabulary in just a few weeks or months is absolutely possible with any of these methods. If you're expecting more from them, your unrealistic expectations are the problem, not the method itself.

Note that the video title says "The Fastest Way to Speak a New Language", without putting a time frame on how long it will take. I agree that a lot of other videos are very misleading about how long it takes to learn a language fluently, but I do believe this method may well be one of the fastest. Of course, to become fluent in a language takes a long time, but this is about getting the basics down and having simple conversations to start with.
@AbdarRahmanChignell7 күн бұрын
@@maybeide8078 have you actually tried to be able to say "definitely impossible"? If someone can communicate with (only) 1,000 words and can now carry on to 3,000 or 4,000 or 5,000 have they wasted their time? Also there's no clear number of words that you need.... Just a lot of guess work. I've been finding, as a terrible language learner, that using Tony's approach has been helping me learn vocabulary in context and be able to use 'patterns' to express myself. I don't count the words as I have no idea in my native language how many words I know or use - it has never mattered to me either. Maybe test the method for a couple of weeks and see how you get on.
