My parents used to have a video tape of these guys. They played it many times for my little kids, which resulted in them going around the house stomping and clapping like maniacs. Fast forward about 15 years: my 19 year old son is the church drummer.

It's absolutely nuts. Percussive harmony at it's finest. The noise is so awesome. It's exactly what i'd need to hear to feel good about charging towards my death during a war. I used to listen to it before football games to get fired up and rip some heads off in high school.

Saw the original Stomp in the Tunnel Club in London - must have been over thirty years ago! Still remember how inventive they were: hand, foot & body music; fast drumming swinging tennis balls in long socks; dustbin lids; plastic barrels, and female member of audience ‘volunteered’ to sit with her head inside a big tub & had to scream when they bashed it 😳. Pure bloody brilliant!
@sandothemando8924
@sandothemando8924 3 жыл бұрын
Even when the first guy is clapping normally to make the audience clap like from 3:09 - 3:15, you can tell he's clapping with all of his strength and force and clapping in just the right part of the hand so as to make the loudest possible sound. Just extraordinary; you can tell they didn't skimp on anything.

What I love about stump as a company is that of course they’re using their bodies and all these cool things to do rhythms with that you wouldn’t think of but coming from a dance background and spending hours in a dance studio learning dance steps and practicing to be in sync and getting every step right and everybody is doing the same step at the same time it’s really cool to see a group using elements of tap dancing but if you watch they’re all doing the same rhythm but using their body and their feet and their hands in different ways to get that rhythm.... which is Exciting to watch for a former dancer after years of practicing to Make sure that everybody’s feet was in the same place at the same time doing the same thing in the same way…… It’s really cool to see how each person expresses the rhythm with their body in different ways yet the end result is all the same sound!

Finn Truman lol the broom piece is my ALL TIME FAV! I was the first piece I ever saw by Stomp... featured on some TV show years and years ago! Now I understand why they have the broom dance LOL

I came here from the most moronic brainwashing video of 6 guys clapping at a talent show...and it had 6.4 million views...WTF? This only has 2.8...The world has gone fucking mental. MENTAL!

Me Jealous? Why would I be jealous for a video gaining more views than another, when neither have zero impact on my own account on KZbin? I think you're misunderstanding the English Language and using the wrong word. There's no Jealousy involved here as there is nothing for me to be Jealous about, Stomp may be...why would I be? I was making a statement at the fact that a piece of shit, has received more views than something that is clearly good. It was a general thought upon the nonsensical attitude of people these days. Very easily lead into what's cool/viral/popular rather than what actually has substance and quality. It's become the whatever is trending society...It's not a good thing, but it certainly has nothing to do with fucking Jealousy. Wake up please, you could at least learn the dictionary definitions for words you're using if you don't know the meaning, before posting.
