Great video. Perfect info for me as i am going soon. Question: you booked a tuk tuk outside of Angkor Wat complex? If so... Did you need to buy him a ticket? Thanks for more info
@TonyOi2 жыл бұрын
They are everywhere in town :) remember they all charge the same price 15$ for day tour of temples for the Tuk tuk not each person they just drive u around to each place) which u will need cause it’s roasting hot to walk 2-4 km per temple!! Sunrise tour was 15$ as well to but only the morning sunrise (this is separate)

It is like egypt taking stones far away...and building structures at a large area. But they had elephants to help. Not sure about eqyptians.
@TonyOi2 жыл бұрын
Oh i had no idea they used elephants to help build here!
@keangwooichoo61382 жыл бұрын
@@TonyOi yeah south east asia has many elephants. They are used for wars and heavy duty work. Poor creatures.
@keangwooichoo61382 жыл бұрын
@@TonyOi fun facts : Elephants in the Temple It took about 6000 elephants to build the Angkor Wat Temple. What exactly did the elephants do? The sandstone blocks that were used to build the temple were dug up 50 kilometers away from the construction site.
@peterseth64532 жыл бұрын
The water around the temple is to keep the temple standing cause below the tample fill with sand, so no water the sand will dry and solf and the tample will collapse
@TonyOi2 жыл бұрын
oh i had no idea! Thats so cool man.
@bbprime10492 жыл бұрын
The water around Angkor Wat is for support the temple for it to stand and not collapse in thousand years and Angkor wat is actually floating 🙂

@khmercolumbus11942 жыл бұрын
Your Angkor Wat history is all wrong … plus there’s no concrete used when the Khmer people built this temple long ago. Westerners kept saying the Khmer people used their hands and primitive tools to build these temples … wrong, the ancient tools were more sophisticated in my opinion.
