You are spot on as usual Tony. There are many dangers in this world but you can let them control your life. You need to be aware of your surroundings and use your head. God created too many wonderful things to let them pass buy hidden in your bubble.

The more I use the tree saw the less large trees I cut with it. I like to know the limits of everything but now that I do I tend to stay in that 6 to 8-in range.

I understand people talking about safety, you have more protection on your tractor than in the open on foot. You are backing in and with your tractor you can switch to forward and move fast than on foot. Enjoy the videos.

I agree with everything you said. I tend to get sloppy with my chainsaw at the end of the day because I am tired. I don't feel that way with this cutter.

Not sketchy at all. We trust you to test this equipment to its limits. This machine would be very beneficial for me. Lots of small bent over trees that will give me a backache and a dull chain on my saw. We expect you to test this stuff the way it will be used. I have 80 acres of small trees that need to be cleared for proper forest management. Thank you for a real video.

I seen this attachment on TTWT and the upper bar was on hydraulic cylinders that pushed the tree away as it was sawing and was controlled via rear remotes. Pretty nice attachment either way.

I don't care much to talk about myself so with that out of the way, yes. It's something that is pricey and if you need it to get the job done, it's worth it. Not going to list my toys/tools but this would have saved me a lot of money and headache and still might. Don't complain people. It will make life better especially for when you need something like this. Thanks man. I'll take one! Old man is old so 🍻

On the commercial tree cutters thay have hydraulic tilt and solid wings to direct the tree falling direction. If it was mine I would take the angle braces off and replace with cylinders so the cutter can start the falling process before it was cut completely. Also I would mount couple rows of chains below the cross bar to protect the cutter gearbox, tractor and operator from kickback where the tree is falling on the limbs where the limbs push the trunk back over the stump. Also it could be easier to high cut the tree and then trim the stump flush. That way you are not fighting the stump flair while watching the tree for unforseen movement. Well that's my 2 cents worth. I enjoy your videos even more when I hear Tonya hechel you. One question ❓ did Tonya reward you with a chicken tender to go work on the farm like you do Gismo?

I don’t see anything unsafe about this myself but I do some pretty sketchy stuff lol. I could see where extending your push bar up and out would be more of a benefit for pushing over trees than extending your top link out more. That way you would still have the level cut but have more pushing leverage on the tree at the same time.

Looks like you need to adjust your slip clutches on the driveline at the saw end! If they were adjusted correctly you wouldn’t stall the tractor motor so much. That rough on the transmission and motor.
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 5 ай бұрын
I disagree on the slip clutch. A slip clutch should slip when it hits something. Immovable. Having it tight enough that it will bog the engine down is fine. You want it to slip and not transmit harsh hits. If your clutch is slipping all the time you will only burn the clutch up. This slip coach is set to the manufacturer's torque specs.

@@TonysTractorAdventure well it’s your/or TYM’s tractor…. Trees are pretty much immovable objects……. The manual clearly states to slowly enter the cut as to NOT bog the engine down…… and that same manual clearly states that you are NOT to cut down any trees taller than 10’ due to a crush hazard that larger trees pose to the operator. Be careful out there. those pesky operators manuals just get in the way of all the fun don’t they😂😂😂
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 5 ай бұрын
This is my tractor and I don't let those manuals get in the way of working a tractor. LOL! The TYM T474 is a very well built tractor. Out of the thousands built and sold, less than one percent have ever came back for a bad engine or transmission. As far as bogging the engine down, no tractor ever made could use their high range if bogging was an issue. IMO tractors are made to lug it out. If they will not lug, then I wouldn't promote them.

That is slicker then bug snot on small brush and shrubs but a bit sketchy on larger trees. How thick is the saw in there and what material are the teeth made from? And did being so close to the ground mess up your saw teeth?
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 5 ай бұрын
It has carbide cutters that hold up very well. It is the same teeth that is on my mulcher. The cutting disc is made out of AR400 steel. It should last me a lifetime. The teeth are replaceable.

Tony quick ? Have the 474 like yours, I’ve got 60 hours in machine and just noticed slight pedal creep on hydro pedals! Have you had that and how did you resolve? I’m assuming spring tension adjustment??
@TonysTractorAdventure
@TonysTractorAdventure 5 ай бұрын
It's a little more complicated than I could ever explain through the comment section. The shortest answer is this. There is a turnbuckle with locking nuts on either end up under the tractor. Loosen the two lock nuts, and turn the turnbuckle until the tractor stops wanting to move. Tighten the two lock nuts back in place. It's a booger bear to get to.
@terryknesek6922

Thanks for the advice ! I got the turn buckle adjusted to work perfectly! It took very little adjustment! Started with 2/6 of a turn and it was way too much took 1/12 like half of a flat side of nut! Thanks again Tony keep the tractor videos coming
