Bought a pair of sk 12” groove joint pliers for 17 bucks from sk website during a sale.. massive amounts of quality.. my favorite tool by far.. the finish reminds me of the aluminum and black wheels on my brand new yamaha cruiser… never seen such a beautiful tool in my life.. just pure beauty.. it’s a damn shame that I have to use this work of art as a tool.

Yes, I’ve got some SK pliers. They’re great. Identical to the old black handle Craftsman’s that most people liked. I have the long handle needle nose and another pair of long needle nose.

I’ve got SK sockets, ratchets, extensions, chrome, impact, bits, wrenches, etc... they are at or near tool truck quality with a lot of their offerings and are definitely worth a look. Especially their “steals and deals” and when they run their big discount/coupon codes.
@TonyTheTechnician

Ya I have heard a few people mention the deals are great and I absolutely agree they are great quality. Definetly good enough to be tool truck worthy 👍👍👍

The last of the Western forge made Craftsman pliers were the exact same and are obviously excellent if you can find them still at a Sears or Ace hardware, you may get a better deal but if not I guess just get the readily available SK's. I love the flush joints, I may have to look into some SK's if I don't find any more of the Craftsmans. WF was owned by Ideal who owns SK Pratt-Read and maybe Klein I think, i'm guessing that once Sears ended their contracts with WF Ideal moved the tooling to the SK factory. That's really the only thing that makes sense, I certainly can't think of another facility under Ideal that could make these. Certainly none that the AK on these would match. Those Tekton are rebranded WILDE btw, great tools. I've always loved and had good luck with all my Channellock, but I do appreciate nice F&F when I can get it for the money. It's not a deal breaker for me though and Channellock I feel has good steel and are reliable which is what matters most to me.
@TonyTheTechnician

Absolutely and ya I'm pretty sure your right about the sk. And ya they are great pliers and a good cost for the sk ones. And ya wild makes a lot of USA made products for tekton. I think it's great 👍and ya I really enjoy my channellock as well

For years, SK also made products for Sears/Craftsman in the late 1990's/Early 2000's. I have a pair of craftsman that are exactly the same as that one, but with an orange handle. I love them for general use. They hold tight, don't slip, and there is no bulge.

My grandpa sold S•K and provided over the counter warranty for over 30 years at his hardware store. I’ll always have a soft spot for the brand. I really like my lp90 ratchets and x-frames, but my superkrome combination wrenches are the biggest workhorse in my toolbox being a heavy equipment mechanic.

As much as I like how flush that pivot head is, I just wish it was removable or at least adjustable like on the Tekton. I know there's a warranty and all that good stuff, but I just have a thing for long term (user) serviceability. Really nice looking though, and I certainly wouldn't say no. Thanks for the review.
