Excellent video, very educational and packed with action. I was born on PC and vacation there with the family every year during July. We loaded up on the Vermilion Snapper on the Captain Anderson's party boat a couple of years ago. Those fish are delicious. It looks like you had a blast.

you should do a video at hillsboro inlet. the little dock there is open to the public and you can fish there. there are a bunch of snapper, snook, nurse sharks, grouper, barracudas, and some hound fish, i recommend going during low tide going up

Aloha, another great video Vik & Brook. Funny how certain areas have certain views of fish species. We love catching Opakapaka which is very similar to your vermilions, but triggerfish aka Hagi aka Humuhumu hardly anyone eats here many considering them a "trash fish". I like them even though you need lineman's pliers to skin them. Mahalo nui, and keep up the great work.

id like some feedback on this but if your fishing for small sharks such as leopard sharks can you use 50lb braid leader coated with ductape to prevent it from being torn from the skin? and yes ik you can get wire leader or stronger mono

my mate and I went out fishing yesterday yabbie pumped and then fished first cast reel just SCREEEEEAMMMS about a 30min fight till I first saw the fish Im 11 years old so i was soooo excited to see about a 2 meter shark. I started yelling “YEEEEEEWWWW” Jack (my mate) goes down on oister filled rock he sees the fish again and tries to grab it tail the fish runs and my reel just screamed. He got under a rock so I put my reel in pretty much full lock and my my reel still pulled out line. My mate goes back down to grab its tail and finally gets it. We both started to scream on the fricking yabbies! Has anyone caught a darn shark of any kind on a yabbie?
