K love I'm a cosmetics and skincare formulator. The problem isn't collaboration with black people. The problem is companies not investing in actual research. You see this when you do research for ingredients. Their test subjects almost exclusively include white women. When speaking anti aging black and white women age differently yet there's virtually no comprehensive data and research on the beauty habits of black women. When it comes to white women the market research is readily available and accessible. Again when these companies in cosmetics and skincare create products they are creating companies for them by them. just like tech companies eg. Airbnb etc... We are simply a by product of them doing business....

It’s refreshing to see someone wear a darker foundation color because I do. I hate to see ppl with much lighter faces than their bodies. Like it doesn’t match. Granted, my face is much lighter than my arms due to so much sun but I always prefer the darker color on my face.

Maybe it's the camera or my screen, but I think the next color down would be best. Chestnut looks very orange. It does turn out great in the end, but for a true match, I do think your 'winter shade' would match better. That's just my opinion, and it could just be a camera/screen/lighting effect.
