Magic is all about this though dude. The thing is, for “fair and balanced” magic to be fun, crazy complicated strategies that work inconsistently have to exist as well. It’s part of the variance of interaction, assuming the interaction is dynamic at all. Notice how easy it was to beat this strategy. Literally just holding up mana for settle the wreckage, or any set of instant speed removal could shut this combo down. Why would you not want to see Magic’s interaction pushed to its limit? That’s how we learn to progress a game further.

Yeah it’s fun... for one player. I don’t personally like decks like that. I want to have a good game of magic where there’s a chance anyone can win and anyone can lose. Mega mill, domination control, and turn two wins are all very annoying to go against because unless you just so happen to have what you need in your hand you just slowly watch yourself lose.

Notice that you always want to push your opponent to a spot where they are topdecking because it usually means you win. You’re complaining about the way every game of magic works.

I know this is an old video but I was thinking, you could probably replace Anax with Drakuseth. That way, if the opponent has blockers, Drakuseth will likely clearly them out just by attacking. If you're getting the combo off so early, it's unlikely their blockers will have more than 3 toughness and it's unlikely they have more than 3. Also, Drakuseth is just cool.
