Fantastic... I got to interview Derek in '96..he was about to turn 17...I asked him to pick out something from our music library at WZLS-FM 96.5 in Asheville...He didn't hesitate and picked Stevie's Jesus Children of America... night on.....I think he digs Innervisions

yeah I know he often plays that tuning. How do you play that lick at 03:09 in that tuning? any idea??

That is indeed a tasty lick. And I tried to figure what the hell he’d doing but I think he’s playing the first note at 3:09 is on like the 24th or 25th fret(off the fretboard)on the high b string in open E.

@@poopoopeepee9843 It's a major 7 arpeggio. Quite easy to play in open-e. Say this song is played in E minor, he plays a G major 7 arpeggio which works with dorian.
