WIKI: Too Hot to Handle is an American-British reality television dating game show produced by Fremantle production company Talkback. It was created by Laura Gibson and Charlie Bennett. The show consisted of eight episodes, all of which were released on 17 April 2020 on Netflix. I mean to be fair they only get 100k to split 10 ways possibly more. That means at the end of this at max you get 10k of prize money. It’s certainly nothing life changing and that’s about as much as you’d probably end up spending if you were taking this nice of a vacation. If you really wanted them to resist then you’d have to really up the prize money to 1M. Plus a lot of these ppl don’t need the money so they’re prioritizing experience over money which I can’t really be mad at

Tbh that's still a big difference. If you watch the episodes, he told Melinda straight up that he likes her AND 2 of the other girls, and even said that she MIGHT be his number 1, never saying she is. He's a lil shit, but he doesn't go toxic like Melinda. First thing she did is kiss Peter at the bonfire just to make him jealous, then kisses Peter again just for fun, then sees that Marvin is pissed about it (which shows that he atleast cares a lil about her), and he never said he wouldn't sleep in bed with her that night so it could've been resolved, but then she immediately goes ''I'll make him jealous!" mode AGAIN?? The toxicity she exudes is insane. If your first instinct is to kiss others and rub yourself on others just to make someone jealous, when they just had an honest talk with you and never showed any disinterest, then you're just toxic and very self-sabotaging. Melinda was my favourite but she really needs to tone her self-sabotaging toxic behaviour down man. 1 of them has been honest about being a lil shit, the other one keeps doing toxic things to get attention. Both suck in different ways, but atleast Marvin never claimed he's only interested in her, and didn't do things to make her jealous just for attention. Also she used Peter as a toy, which she said herself, just to make Marvin jealous, which is another toxic thing to do. Yes the show is meant to be all about horny people, but unlike the others who just kiss eachother and flirt with eachother for fun, Melinda's goal was to use him as a ''boy toy'' to make Marvin jealous, which is honestly disgusting. Don't really get how any of her behaviours are on par to Marvin, or make him a hypocrite.

My personal conspiracy theory is that by breaking the rules and thereby getting more screen time and having a storyline on the show (like Frankie and Harry last season) contestants may be decreasing the prize money but will actually make a lot more money in the future by gaining popularity online and getting sponsorships on IG and other platforms. I think Frankie has about 5 mil followers on IG now so I feel like that strategy could easily pay off for others. (Not saying that the contestants breaking the rules have this in mind, but if they do then they’re arguably being smart about how they’re playing the game🤯).
