I know exactly how you are feeling. I know when I had too many projects going at the same time I didn’t know which way to turn, so I “froze” and didn’t do much of anything. It is VERY anxiety invoking for me. I learned this way back in the 80’s! Since then I just cannot have more than two cross stitch projects at any time. A large and a smaller one for when I don’t feel like bringing out my big frame and stand. I also now allow one diamond painting as well since I started doing that craft. I also know I will never have enough lifetime to do everything, and it’s better not to start alot because I can then sell the unused kits at some point and recoup some of my money. I also like the feeling of having completed a project and the excitement of choosing my next. I always think to myself “if I could only do one more project in my lifetime, it will be the one that means the most to me.” and choose that one.

I adore you my friend. Take it easy on yourself. I always stitch whatever I’m feeling in the moment. I can’t plan it and be true to myself. I can’t enjoy it if I give myself a regimen. So I stitch what I want, always. My 2025 plans are going to be looser than my Thanksgiving fat pants. Don’t be surprised if I wind up getting your Lothlorian pattern. I just love it! 😊🥰🤗

Glad your feeling much better. Please don't stress on your stitching. Just stitch on what you are feeling that day. I also love every wipe I have and want to do them all, but life gets in the way. I watch your channel to enjoy your company while I stitch as well. Love seeing your progress, but it doesn't matter to me which one you do.

I am so glad to hear you are starting to feeling better. I know getting out of a depression can be hard and trying to find that balance of letting yourself feel it and finding ways to push through to accomplish the thing you need or want to do can be harder than people realize. I my self have a lot of wips and seem to always have more I want to do, so I’ll pick one for say a week or more. Then if I feel like move on I’ll allow myself to go back to another older wip and work on that one for a few days. Right now I have 4 main wips I’m working on right now, with a new start every so often.

Firstly, I am glad to hear you are feeling better! I have about 40-45 wips. I used to keep a diary of my stitching and tried wipgo. About 18 mos. ago I asked myself why are you stressing over this. I tossed the diary and the games and each day I just stitch on whatever I feel like. When I get tired of a particular project it goes back in the basket and I pull out another. No stress this way and I have to say stitching this way brings me JOY!

I have 50+ wipa. I also struggle with what to work on, and I always have a hard time with sticking to a plan. I think in January, I'm going to start something called 'My Happy Stitch'. I'm going to pick up something that is calling to me to work on. I'll work on it until I've become bored, uninterested, something else is calling to me. I think going through your wip parade will help you remember all the positive feelings you have towards each project. Sparkle n Shine ✨️ Julie

I force myself to be monogamous with my cross stitch. Do I want to start more? Oh yes, very much😊. But I keep it to one or two for my sanity. I’m working on 2 HAEDS, Amy Stewart designs, Birds and Blooms and Stitching Self. It will keep me busy for the next several years. Can I change my ways and start more? Yes, I feel the pull when watching you and other KZbin channels and see all of the beautiful stitching. Happy Stitching 😊😊

So happy to see you feeling better. My plan for stitching in 2025 is to not have a plan! I am going to stitch each day on what makes me happy and not worry about goals. I always tend to over plan and feel like a failure when I don't make a goal. Next year will be much more free with less anxiety.

I have many, many projects. I don’t think about finishing them. I stitch on them because they bring me pleasure.

I have very close to 50, and I may even be at 50 😂 lol. I stitch for my mood. Whichever one gets into my head, I stitch. Today, it was bigger full coverage counted. My HAED 'At the water hole' and 'Maxine'.I put zero pressure on myself to stitch anything in particular or to finish anything. If I'm really unsure I do have a tiny decisions wheel. Not that I do which one turns up lol but it reminds me what I have on the go, lol. I, too, have suffered with depression and PTSD for many years. I spent 16 years working in a male prison as an officer, I changed careers years ago, and although way better, I still suffer. Sometimes I have no idea why I feel how I feel as I love my life, but that's part of it right? I'm changing meds again right now, which is kinda rough, but onwards and upwards. One step, one day at a time. I think you're amazing and love that you are so open about your mental health. It's important to acknowledge it, feel it, and allow yourself grace to get through it. ❤ Big hugs, my friend ❤

I just finished a list of things I want to make/finish asap (small alterings/upcycles to keep my pain level a bit less either support or warmth for the colder weather). Also looking into how to harden leather to make a cover for my nipples or whole boobs even because my cat recently decided it want to stand on them and I might be able to correct her to step off them but weirdly enough I’d rather not have to experience it altogether 😂😂 Also, ANY chronic illness is hard. Mental and other invisible illnesses are also so hard to cope with because often we can’t follow the mainstream and we have to explain ourselves, regardless of getting some understanding for it or not. Lots of warmth to you and everyone else that can use it ❤

I have about 30-40 WIP and used to stress about it. But now I consider myself an ARTIST and don’t worry about it anymore. I’ve arranged my projects neatly and work on one depending on my mood. Don’t stress about it 😊

I have four wipes of different sizes and either do a different one a day, or if in the mood concentrate on one for the week. If they are varying sizes, I will complete the smallest one first, so that I can start another. If you have to many WIPs you will miss out on the satisfaction of completing a project.

I do have a bit more than 10 wips. They are medium, large and huge. I only stich what i feel like i would like to work that day. It just depends on my mood. Large wips takes a long time to finish so i dont think about the finish just enjoying process. Small ones are like snacks inbetween. If there is one i love to work on i just start and usually finish within 1 or 2 weeks. That way i have the feeling of starting a new stich while shortly after i can enjoy the finish. That way it doesnt bother me too much when i cant finish the bigger ones that fast. 😊 focus on those you really wanna stich on and who are close to finish. If there is none i would work on the small ones. That way you shrink your wips pretty fast and dont feel overwhelmed. Just focuse on a few and dont look at the others 😂 step by step you could say

I've been a monogamous stitcher for most of my life. It never even occurred to me until flosstube to have more than one project going. Stitchers now have so many more options. It is too bad that many beautiful things may disappear if they are not bought, but I am offended by artificial scarcity with modern pdf patterns, since designers could chose to keep and sell them forever. Although I still really need only one project to contentedly stitch away, it is the height of luxury to have choices. At the same time, I get it that all of them vie for your attention and that creates a disturbance in the Force.

i liked your videos where you said you would talk about personal stuff at the end, but you can't help yourself to do it throughout your videos, sorry i am here for stitchy things, not a medical lecture.. why do soooo many people feel the need to reach out and talk personal on channels like these... do another channel and talk about that, fooled into clicking on you once again, but no more...
