I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be Too many bitter tears are raining down on me I'm far away from home And I've been facing this alone For much too long Oh, I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me About growing up and what a struggle it would be In my tangled state of mind I've been looking back to find Where I went wrong Too much love will kill you If you can't make up your mind Torn between the lover And the love you leave behind You're headed for disaster 'Cause you never read the signs Too much love will kill you - every time I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be And it seems like there's no way out of this for me I used to bring you sunshine Now all I ever do is bring you down Oh, how would it be if you were standing in my shoes Can't you see that it's impossible to choose No there's no making sense of it Every way I go I'm bound to lose Oh yes Too much love will kill you Just as sure as none at all It'll drain the power that's in you Make you plead and scream and crawl And the pain will make you crazy You're the victim of your crime Too much love will kill you every time Yes, too much love will kill you It'll make your life a lie Yes, too much love will kill you And you won't understand why You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul But here it comes again Too much love will kill you In the end In the end

@@annamartsoukou4608 Pretty sure that this wasn’t written for them. "Too Much Love Will Kill You" is a song written by British guitarist Brian May of Queen, Frank Musker, and Elizabeth Lamers. The song reflected the breakdown of May's first marriage and attraction to his future wife, Anita Dobson.

Great cover. Just a small correction on your video description though, Freddie didn't wrote this song, Brian May did. They recorded this in 88 on the Miracle album sessions but didn't made it on the album. Brian recorded and released it in his first solo album in 92. It was only re-recorded released as a Queen track with Freddie's vocal in 95 for the Made In Heaven album, after Freddie's passing.

Freddie Mercury didn't write this song. It wasn't even included in official album of Queen (until after Freddie's death). As a respect for Brian May (Queen guitarist and the composer of this song) I hope you change your video description. As cover artist, it's very crucial to learn even the basic infos about the songs we cover/remake. I feel this because I am a song writer myself. Imagine you compose a very beautiful music and the credits go to somebody else.

It is not respectful to change the lyrics of a song and such a band like Queen. even the change of "woman" is ridiculous. It sounds feminist but the only thing it achieves is inequality.

NEVER change the words to a Freddie Mercury Song especially if you are going to pull such a generic cover.
@conan5885 Жыл бұрын
This is not a "Freddie Mercury Song", it's a Brian May song. But i agree with you on the lyrics... And if you are going to change, i think "girl" fits much better than "woman"
@distantraven2566 Жыл бұрын
@@conan5885 you are very wrong on the fact that that isn't a Freddie song. He wrote it, performed it and did it at least once live by himself. As a gay man he laid it all out as himself in the time when it wasn't "okay". No one should take his last moments as a human being struggling with HIV at a time as something you should reflect yourself upon it, this song is purely personal, it is about death of a man (a huMAN) NOT some personal statement of strength in this non-sensical world as an entertainer
@conan5885 Жыл бұрын
@@distantraven2566 If you want to believe that yourself and makes you feel better, than fine. If you want actual facts, this is a Brian May song, written by Brian (with the help of a co-writer, not fron Queen) about his growing depression and upcoming divorce. The fact that they recorded a demo intended to go on the Miracle album doesn't make it a Freddie song. Brian released the song first on his solo album. They only did a proper Queen version in 95 for the Made In Heaven album, obviously after Freddie's passing. If you want to discuss Queen (or its members) music with me, at least get your facts right, and not just read random stuff out of Wikipedia.... But i you just want to believe in nice "farry tales" just carry on believing that
@annette175 Жыл бұрын
@@conan5885 oh nope, best of all to leave and sing "man" as it was originally. It won't sound that great to sing "girl"
