I love your videos! They are always so pleasant! I am also working hard on not buying so much stationery stuff and I am a very anxious person (I have ocd). It is hard not mix this love for pen and paper and this anxiety/FOMO buys.

The hobonichi are insanely expensive. Have you seen sterling ink hobonichi alternative called the common planner in b6 size? I believe it’s cheaper than hobonichi. It’s the same layout but without all of the bold colors. Same paper. She’s also in Canada. I love hobonichi for journaling. I spent over $2,000 on my leather covers broken down over a 5 1/2 year time frame. That’s not bad considering I save the purchases for holiday or birthday gifts to myself. I buy leathers that carry their resale value and I’ve sold many to fund all of my VDS purchases. I bought the subscriptions for TCMC and quit my other subscription to fund that purchase. I buy my washi on sale at Temu or HL when they have their 40% off. I buy HP stickers on clearance. I’m such a cheapskate, but I really can’t afford to buy anything at regular cost. I use my Clena gel pen or the pen hobonichi gives us for the hobonichi planners. I love your enthusiasm on your videos. Don’t be ashamed. If you break down the purchases over the years it lasts you (I’m on year 2 of my tombows and still going strong) it’s not that bad. I don’t buy coffee or eat out often. Maybe once a month. I also don’t have spending money. My planner/craft supplies are what my husband budgets into our bills. He buys games and I buy stationery. We have no debt.

I love how sensible you are with your spending! Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in spending on planner goodies, because it’s something we love and because the supplies are so expensive! I will look into the Sterling Ink products. As much as I love my Hobo, I’m always looking to save a buck or two. Thanks for being here😊💗

Girl!!!! I have soooo much more! I fell down the rabbit hole the end of 2020 when I just started looking for a planner (check out the intro for my channel). I didn’t even know there were stickers, and a planner community! In 2021 I could say that I just spend my 2020 vacation $ since we couldn’t go anywhere but in 2022? 👀 and now? I have no excuses! I’m going to need to start a stickeraholic group!!!🤦🏾‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Hi, I’m tee and I’m a planner-holic. Amazing video. Had to show my boyfriend so he knows I’m not alone. Girl I’m in Canada too and I got into planning AND fountain pens at the same time aaaand have spent HUNDREDS on stickers. I got all the tombows too! Ugh I’m still in the acquisition phase and sometimes feel like I can’t stop! I keep finding cute Etsy shops, sticker shops in Europe, new inks, different nibs. It has made me so happy but I’m terrified of what happens if I don’t stop.

Heeeey Tee! SO nice to meet you, friend! I know what you mean! I made the video because this is something I have been struggling with since I got back into planning. Planning has always made me feel calm, but trying to keep up with the trends, and buying the latest, greatest things especially here in Canada where things are expensive, was becoming stressful. I am so happy you enjoyed the video. I was nervous to post it as I was afraid of offending someone which was never my intention. I don't think we are alone.
