Some of the best squash I've ever seen Gawad play. His skill is on another level and his movement was phenomenal. He will still need to improve his fitness to challenge the very top guys (Farag, Coll, Elias) and I hope he commits himself to doing so. He is a pleasure to watch.

In a racket sport where athleticism is such a crucial factor it is great to see such a skillful player at the top of the game. Very like Roger Federer in tennis, I believe his matches would always attract the highest viewing figures.

The reason the tin was lowered in top level mens squash in 1990 was to try and redress the balance between athleticism and skill. Lowering the tin and tightening up the stroke rule, I believe, have assisted the most creative and accurate players like Gawad to rise to the top. Why do you think his matches are the most watched?
