Too Old For a Facelift at 77 Years?

Marian is 77 and in perfect health. She's definitely not too old for cosmetic surgery.
Yes, she already looked amazing before her browlift, lower blepharoplasty, deep plane facelift (technically deep plane extended facelift), deep necklift, fat transfer, lip lift, and CO2 laser resurfacing.
Marian is part of a growing group of patients in my practice who are not only undergoing #omakasefacelifts in their 70s, but also selflessly sharing their stories in order to inspire and educate others.
There's no firm upper age limit for cosmetic surgery. A patient like Marian is in terrific health, and has also practiced great skin care (sunscreen and moisturizer) for her whole life which makes it that much easier to get great results. And while healing varies from patient to patient, on average a 40 year old will heal faster and have less swelling than the average 70 year old. Ironically, Marian had almost no pain after her procedure.
And although her swelling on the days immediately following surgery was more than most patients you've seen on my channel on social media accounts, you can see the dramatic reduction by day 10. Remember, for any deep plane extended face lift, full results don't appear until 6-12 months after surgery.
Marian also took advantage of our aftercare measures which are included with my deep plane facelift and necklift service. A private duty nurse helped administer medication and generally see after her wellness level the night following the surgery to make the healing process as stress-free as possible.

On day 11, Marian looks like she had a restful vacation. Fantastic! It is obvious she maintained a healthy lifestyle because she healed quickly. Thank you Marian for sharing your surgery journey with the rest of us. Marian is a poster child for living a healthy lifestyle. At age 77, she is healthier than many 40 years old. Marian is an example of what your life can be when you choose to live a healthy lifestyle every day. Eating healthy, exercising daily (walking is great), drinking water, and staying social with family and friends all equate to a long healthy life.
