Changbin released this song during mental health awareness month and the MV features the Blue Tree Project which helps raise awareness around mental wellbeing which is why we see blue paint. I don’t know if you remember but their song “Ex” also has a connection to this song as we also see Changbin spreading blue paint in the MV.

I listened to this song while I was in a serious depression and it help as much as it hurted me. It helped me because I felt understood but even feeling identify with the lyrics was hurting me. Now I'm better and listening to this song after getting over my depression is melancolic. I love listening to this song now because I remember how I progressed from that phase of my life, I feel relived and now I want to live. For all the people that is still in the process, at first might seem difficult even breathe, but there is a solution and you can get over this, please continue with us in this world because you deserve to live.

The blue tree took a new purpose to spread the message that "It's OK not to be OK" It's also help to spark the difficult Conversation and encourage to speak up when battling mental health concerns. By spreading the paint. And spreading the message "its OK not to be OK".

It took me a while to listen to this because I knew what it was about and I knew it would be one that hit me hard. When I finally mustered up the courage to listen to it, I was in tears by the end. I think everyone, in some way, can relate to what Changbin is saying. I appreciate his vulnerability to be open about his struggles with his mental health and to remind people to check in as you said. It's a great song that really stays with you. Also, the blue paint (which you see in another Skz video), represents the Blue Tree Project, which helps break down the stigmas surrounding mental health. Powerful imagery.

The Blue Paint Tree on this video is something that Stray Kids Changbin support for a group project which is the Blue Paint Tree Project that helps people raised awareness from mental health issues.. Changbin also from one of their other music video he has also painted his hands blue to make sure the awareness will be spread out for helping others to reach and help out experiencing people with mental issues..

for me, Changbin 's "Streetlights" is on the same emotional level with RM' s "Awakening" & AGUST D's "The Last" all three of them open up about mental illness, struggling with one's identity, the mask that idols need to wear even in their darkest moments just to not worry their fans. it takes a lot of courage to put down those lyrics and then share them with the world. mad respect for them!
