Sohyang is Korean. South Korea has a large christian community. A lot of Korean songs flip back and forth between Korean and English. You should hear her version of Amazing Grace.

Petra is like the best duo for Sohyang in her recent works n perfs. Since CCM is Sohyang's original ballpark, you haven't seen her full beast mode in gospel yet. Bridge Over Troubled Water should be a good start (You Raise Me Up in white dress 2018 is a food follow-up too), then Amazing Grace (both studio record and live perf with Petra) or O Holy Night (i prefer 2012 purple dress version but 202x tan suit in Michael Bolton's concert is also fine), Lean On Me, and the infamous Everyone (with eng sub) where Sohyang goes Patty Labelle on us. South Korea has a pop. of ~59mil and over 28mil identify as Christian or Catholic. In 2012 there were 77,000 Christian churches in S. Korea and S.Korea is 2nd only to the US in number of Christian missionaries worldwide at 27,000.
