This was the first concert I've ever gone to. I haven't really listened to their new album so you can imagine how I reacted hearing Fear Inoculum opening xD I've been a listener since I was 13. Tool fans are an awesome bunch of really cool open-minded people of all kinds, it was beautiful to see them in person. My brother and I were laughing at how cool it was to see Maynard doing his "Gollum thing" while he was really into his singing and the music. I managed to snag one strip of that confetti that rained down as a souvenir My fav part was when they put the camera on Danny's head and streamed it live to the big screen behind him while doing Chocolate Chip Trip, as a drummer myself that was Fucking incredible to see in person! Next time they come to town I'm getting Floor seats as I was in balcony 210 which was fine but I can imagine the floor must have been intense with that Imax-sized & quality screen behind them all. Btw The reason why Maynard didn't say we could film is because some chick who came in super late, after his announcement, sat down next to me with her boyfriend. She was on her phone messaging people and web browsing for the first 20 minutes after she sat down with a Hella bright screen(I know Maynard had to of seen it). I tried to tell her it was hella bright and distracting but she either ignored me or couldn't hear me. I had to move to another seat, and eventually, she dimmed it down but she never got off of it :( Literally the only person in the entire stadium who had their phone out and they had to sit next to ME at my first concert. Her boyfriend was just watching the concert and ignoring her completely, it was weird. Thankfully I was able to look past that bs and still enjoy everything :D But seriously who goes to a Tool concert and keeps their head buried in their phone, like wtf for real...
