Fascinating. There are ways to reckon the weight of cattle like that, too, but these days you can get scales that weigh the animals as they walk through, without having to cage them one at a time on the scale platform, and scan their ear-tag at the same time and send you an electronic report on how much they each weigh - with the right software you have every beast's history, whether the mob as a whole are gaining or losing weight and what every single animal is doing. Probably the most reliable way yet to detect health issues early in paddock beasts. Now if anybody has a way to get pigs this size to stand on cattle scales one at a time, I will probably own the scales before I own the pigs, and that would be really handy!

28 % is what you’ll get back or going to lose when it’s hanging?

28% is at hanging. total weight back from the processor can be 50% or less depending on how much processing is done (smoked, cured, ground, etc)

You need to leave the pig pen and talk outside of it because your pigs look very aggressive
