here's the tool i use to interlock my diy microlocs and a demonstration of how i use it. i also show you what to do if your loc keeps slipping from the tool

there are so many interlocking needles out there that may be beneficial but this is the one i've used since starting my locs. i would suggest trying out other options and seeing which one makes your retightening experience the smoothest.
(if you have super small locs, this tool may not be the best for you simply because of the size)

This is very good! How long do you wait between reties? Mine has only been up 4 weeks but it feels like I need one so bad esp around the perimeter

i usually go 4-6 weeks. as my locs have matured i’ve been able to go a little longer. 4 weeks and enough new growth is a great time to go ahead a retie
