I agree with the need for wheel locks versus levelers if I had to choose between the two options. Could be the designers of these rigs have never personally used any type of work table with casters that don't lock down. I prefer casters on my welding table so I can roll it outside the shop on nice days. But I also don't want to chase down a table every time I bump or lean against it, and that will happen without lock-down brakes on the casters. Thanks for creating and posting the video, I've been considering buying this table.

I have a very similar table not a cart , bought a princess auto in Canada , its ok but not great , I threw the legs away cheap flimsy steel ,made my own corner levelling adjusters , works ok for what I do , I you buy some cheap f clamps cut them down and weld on 5/8 short bolts you get better clamping options .

Nice review. Also nice tips with the setup tools and homemade version with a 5/8 bolt. How sturdy is the bottom shelf? I would like to set a 60 lb welder and a water cooler on it if it would hold up

Thank you! The bottom shelf is pretty sturdy, and would have no problem with a 60lb welder and water cooler. I use mine to store a large assortment of clamps and jigs, and coffee cans full of pre-cut gussets. Not sure that putting your welder there would be a good idea though, as it is going to get covered in slag, spatter, grinding dust, ect. I guess it would depend on what kind of work you do on the table.

Thanks but I don’t know where you live but harbor freight is $169 for that

Then you should definitely get it there if you want one -- Northern tool is not a sponsor, neither is Harbor Freight or anybody else for that matter. I bought it cause I needed it for a project and at the time Northern Tool had it. Trust if my local Harbor Freight had one in stock for less when I needed it, that's where it would have come from.

I'm curious to know how flat the top is.

According to my strait edge, very flat. it has reinforcements welded to the underside to keep it stiff.

I just bought a cheaper version of that Table with the same exact 4mm top. It is perfectly flat the short 24 inch all the way across , but has a very slight bow the long way.

All I can think about is wielding each piece in place and removing the nuts and bolts. That’s just me though, I got problems.

I will probably do it if the bolts start working loose
