@omnomchomsky this is true, but I feel like there are rythyms that are easier to play than others. Or rather well written parts that are in odd time, but feel normal.
@omnomchomsky3 ай бұрын
@@Playername_Blue Maybe, but schism has lots of time signature changes. Even though it's well written it can still be challenging for some to keep track of the changes, make sure they happen when they're supposed to, and make sure the band is in sync. It does get easier to keep track of time changes with time.

It is called: practice, learn, rehearse, perform. It does not come from out of the blue. Samus: great job.
@AMikeStein3 ай бұрын
My issue with odd time signatures was legit counting it… before I even knew technically what an odd time signature was I would listen to a song until it became second nature to me and then I would start learning to play it but not by counting but by simply feeling the flow of the music.

To be able to play the parts (even throw in a little bit about what makes you unique) along with the original music of one of my favorite all time bands must be just an insane feeling! I have always loved drums but missed the boat on instruments and playing music as a youth so to live vicariously through you and other amazing drum content creators brings me unlimited joy. Hopefully one day, I’ll be able to just sit at a real kit and hit them for a couple minutes and it will sound as good as a beginner could ever hope to sound 🤘 Thanks for the awesome content as always, Samus and thank you for providing 6 minutes of unmitigated happiness to this middle-aged fanboy
