Snap On RocknRoll Cab toolbox truck stopped by the shop. Some people think there are no deals to be had with Snap On toolboxes, but sometimes, deals can be had. What types of deals were made in shop I work at????

It happens. A snap on guy I had a while ago sold a master series and the guy got fired or something so he had to repo it. My buddy bought it completely unused for less than the average used price. The guy next to him that paid more for a heritage was pissed.

Great video! All I got to say is you only live once! Would it be possible to do a toolbox tour of Mr. big? It's my dream box, and I been saving up for one almost pulled the trigger but the shop were in isn't big enough lol. But definitely doing it when we do. I work for a custom body shop, how I see it is one side for all most body tools and specialty tools. The other side would be all my mechanic tools plus I need to buy more tools. I was in collision for 10 years so I have a lot of metric. Now I need to invest in SAE. So Mr. Big it is

Love the new master series KMP line up with the power drawer. You add the rhino power top and you have 3 power bars for your tool box. Super cool! Snap on master series and epiq series are coming out with the lighted powertop when the drawers are open. You have a beautiful collection. Why snap on is great? Because they retain their value. If anything they’re an asset and go up in value if taken care of.

I bought a KRL 722 for $3000 in 2014. Since then I traded it in and snap on dealer gave me $4000 for trade in. I upgraded to a KMP1163 for $7000 and only paid a difference of $4000. So it was actually $3000. Plus I got a $1000 rebate so it ended up being $2000. Again snap on tool boxes do go up in value.

Repo'd tools on the trucks can find some great steals, i know i, and guys i work with have found great deals in trade in and repo section. But yup, depends on deals that you come across at times.

Sorry my kids are going to collage not my snap on dealers. I have a used KRL 1000 that I work out of and only paid 700 for it. All the mobile tool prices are nuts except the GreaWrench man

I always said I’d never buy a snapon toolbox, then my work started a tool program and they give us .50 on every hour we flag. Tool truck came by and had a 73 “ classic that was a repo and got it for a deal, color and size was right. Was going to hold off for a couple of years and pay cash, but I just have work make my toolbox payment for me. So deals do come by. Way better than my harbor freight box, us general pro.

Oh ive got blue point made in usa, canada, spain, portugul, china, taiwan, and so on, and yes my bluepoint cart is made in china i think or taiwan, but this was just in reference to snap on toolboxes and sometimes the deals that you may come across. How many people do you know that get a brand new mr big for less than hft's icon setup just because the rocknroll guy accidentally made a double order lol.

I wish I could say yes but I am dealing with heart failure been out of work since august 7 and about all I can do without breathing and chest pain is watch videos on KZbin got rid of my tv stuff as it cost too much as I lost half of our family income. I am also wearing a difibulator all the time as I am on the verge of a heart attack. Other than that I am in good spirits as can be. This really was a great comparison video. I have said thos icons are way overpriced.

on a few of the boxes the dealer did have some good deals, my pink cart was hella deal, the apprentices master series box was a repo, the orange box i think was either a trade or scratch and dent. the mr big though was the rock and roll cab guy had made a double order. Basically, what the rock and roll cab is Snap On's Tool Box truck, there are 4 throughout the US. (us being about 2 hours from snap on's tool box plant makes for even better availability). Rock and Roll cabs sole purpose is to sell tool boxes and accessories (hutches, lockers, lights, tops, etc) and rock n roll cab Will beat out almost any price your truck guy can give you, on bout out right and trade in offers. It is definitely a nice lil tour to get on one of those trucks.

Would you please recommend a tool box for someone that maintains rental properties. I'm currently using lockers and shelves and would like something more centralized. The variety of tools I use range from circular saws, to small bits and everything in between. I was looking at the Husky, Craftsman and harbor freight, but recently saw a Classic from Snap on and really liked it. I need size.

Lookin at black friday add right now, see at lowes they ha e 41" 7 drawer craftsman work station with bigger drawers for 350. Now that would be good deal and has wood work top. If you have menards though, their 44 and 52" boxes are also good alternative.

my thought is even if you do pay a hefty price for a snapon, you still have a very nice quality snapon box that will hold its value. If you were to buy an overpriced icon from harbor freight, you have..just that. an overpriced icon box from harbor freight that more than likely wont have shit for value if you decide to offload it.

yup, point exactly. Icon is just way overpriced extreme toolbox (compared sizes and weights of boxes and accessories and are exact same as extreme), box deals out there are to be had, but icon isnt one of them. thanks for watching!

That’s the problem I was running into when shopping for a new chinesium box that met the specs of a tool truck brand. Strictlytoolboxes offers some great pricing and have been proven to withstand a professional environment but when you factor in sales promos or even the used market on name brand boxes, they just can’t compete. I have a 72” x 25” Matco 4s that I bought off the snappy dealer for $2k. I’ve seen 84” epics for as low as 4K. If I decided to go bigger any tool truck is more inclined to give you a killer deal on trade for a name brand box vs a box store box (much like your coworkers) or I could likely sell it for more than I paid on the used market. The icon stuff has zero credibility as of yet to what kind of punishment it can withhold so I don’t understand why so many people are backing them

They back them so hard because they get free shit or they don't actually use their tools and buy everything harbor freight. Look at the bear he talks about everything is the best from hft including power tools and how much better they are then dewalt and milwaukee and a better deal and same with the icon and we know he is not climbing on his roof, threw an attic or under his car so those are the people who stand behind hft brands and hate tool trucks. My dad did his career with mostly craftsman but didn't dog the trucks because when in need they come around to save the day and bought what he needed.
