yeah I take the time to put a 7 in.×3 in. under every butt joint 100 year old barn sideing is all the proof I need that it works !

right, score and snap it with a razor knife &A little sand papper and some kilz exterior oil base primer good to go and the tool that holds the piece for you at one end,been makeing my own out of scrap flashing for 15 years! didn't know the other tools existed ! my 4 in angel grinder with a diamond blade get to play for every thing else ! ✌🏻🇺🇸🗽
