Are you gonna try out Toon Boom? Comment your thoughts on the program down below! ♡ A few other things I would like to mention about the program: 1. It does have very large file sizes... so sometime you might experience it not responding... but usually you can wait it out and it will go back to normal 2. Toon Boom's price of $12 is actually a discount that will end soon so it's usually $15 a month (still cheaper than Animate) 3. If you're a student, you can get a discount for every single Adobe Creative Cloud app for only $20 a month the first year (but then $30 a month the following years) AND! You can monetize even with the student discount! 4. Toon Boom has a lot of cool effects in the program, including a camera! (forgot to mention it in the tutorial, but its really cool and useful!)

In my digital design class this semester, were focusing on animation, as well as 3D in animation! We’ve been using photoshop for a while now, and I’ve been going to the school about 4 or so years, and I’m in the 8th grade now. I don’t know what program we are using for animation this year, but I believe it’s from a adobe. Not too sure uwu 💗💞

I tend to use firealpaca for key frame drafts and krita for animations because of the potential to customize the entire program more than others. Toon boom was a great program and felt great to use but animations is a hobby for me so I stayed with krita Also your animation skills are great, keep up the good work
@StacyCee5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! :D Yeah... I tried Krita at one point, but the pen pressure didn't seem to work? That's why I stuck to drawing everything in Firealpaca and then piecing it together in Macromedia Flash MX 2004 (old version of Adobe Animate... like really OLD xD)

This is such a good video! :0 I tried the trial for ToonBoom a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it! It just has a smoother workflow for me than Animate! I really love how all the tools work (the tool that erases overlapping lines is a life saver lol) and overall the layout is perfect! I will say opening the program for the first time is a little overwhelming, but after watching a few videos I understood what everything meant. (I also don't really like the timeline as well, I'm too used to the Animate timeline lol)
@PaintToolCy5 жыл бұрын
Also just wanted to say the way you animate is so pretty!
@StacyCee5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! :) And yes... well I've never tried Animate but I was using the old version of it, Macromedia Flash... so I was pretty used to the timeline there (which I'm assuming is very similar to the Animate timeline). I feel like the cutter tool is what really made me say like... this is a REALLY good drawing program xD I definitely had no idea to do when I first opened the program, so the tutorial I watched (by Jesse J. Jones) was a total life saver :P
@nullreferenceexception93275 жыл бұрын
What I like to do with the timeline is to put the exposure one less and copy *drawing* into a different frame and works and if you want to put it between the frame you can do the same thing like after copying the drawing and pasting it you can copy the drawing again or the frame and then put longer exposure after that other frame Sorry it might be really hard to understand

I personally use adobe animate, because the learning curve is much much lower. It works for me. I wish a couple of things that are in toon boom would be added in adobe animate, but otherwise, love the program. As for toon boom users, I resepct them a lot. Especially for the most expensive one. Oh yes that's what I was using before... I would draw all my frames in Firealpaca and export them into Macromedia Flash to sync to the audio... but personally... for animation, I like Toon Boom better. I don't understand one bit...is it that you can't monetize animation videos made with Toon Boom free version, the full Essentials version, or any? If I can't ever use it on videos I want to monetize it's kind of useless. I am sure you can but I am just trying to understand what I can and can't use.

do you have to pay for toom boom every month
@StacyCee5 жыл бұрын
There are a few options :) Currently there is a sale for Toon Boom where you only have to pay $12 per month but you have to pay every month for an entire year... and then after that I believe it is $15 per month for the every month the entire year. If you want to pay one month at a time and not for the entire year, then it is $23 a month... And if you want the software forever (no updates though) then it is $375.... but that's a good deal if you plan on using the software for over 3 years about. Keep in mind I am only talking about the cheapest version of Toon Boom, Toon Boom Harmony Essentials... there are more expensive tiers as well. Hope this helps :) They have all this information on their website as well so if I was unclear you can check there. www.toonboom.com/

You can take tweening off in the prefs and as for your lip-sync, you copied your drawing instead of making a new drawing. Watch the tutorials on Toon Boom you will learn a lot.

"You can't monetize any videos made with the student discount version" How would that even work? I mean couldn't you just not say which version it was and just monetize it anyway? Or maybe if after you finished the animation you quickly took it into Adobe Premier or MS Movie Maker, saved it thru there and THEN upload the video so technically the final version was made in a different program?
@StacyCee5 жыл бұрын
Its toon booms terms of service.. yes you can probably get around it and they won't notice or care but i think it's better to be honest. If you dont abide by the terms of service they could technically sue you although they probably will not.. It's the same with why dont you just do a bunch of free trials with different emails? They probably won't stop you but you shouldnt.
