I remember the early 70s wathcing the Toon training at the back of our school in Blaydon, we used to sit on the disused rail embankment waiting for the farmer to take his horse out of the field when they turned up. How times have changed.

I love to see these training clips, close work is a must and I know this is just a small clip of the training session but I hope they use the full size pitch to practice long switching balls, one touch passes through the defence (the killer pass) working on Spatial awareness for those one time passes which the likes of Peter Beardsley was brilliant at. 0-4 win at Forest.
