For those who are confused:Bulla has a pretty high damage reduction but it will become lower everytime you get a non rainbow ki sphere.Bulla has a gauge that fill faster with rainbow ki spheres,if you fill the gauge,bulla will remove all the status effect you inflicted her.The strategy is to stun and seal her and do everything you can to avoid filling the gauge,cause even her normal attacks can hit pretty hard so the best thing would be to stun her every turn.

The gauge only fills with non-rainbow spheres; every time you fill it, her Damage Reduction lowers, but you are correct that it resets any stuns/seals. It also takes more spheres to fill the gauge each time, but it eventually goes away completely once you fill it enough times (4 I think?), and from then on, you can still stun lock her the rest of the fight.

Toon that gauge serves 2 purposes, to reset bulla and to lower her damage reduction. You need to select non-rainbow ki spheres to fill it up. As you fill it each turn, her damage reduction goes down. You could take peppy gals that don’t change ki spheres into rainbow to make it easier. Another thing is as you continue to fill the gauge, a turn will come where it is completely gone so she won’t reset.

The event itself literally says to collect as many non rainbow ki spheres as you can to LOWER Bulla’s reduction rate. Right at the beginning of the video. The gauge is simply to measure whether or not you collected enough of them. I know it is confusing because they didn’t specify that there even WOULD be a gauge, so hopefully this helps.

@@hemomanteescarlate yes it is. You can test it yourself. Use nuking items turn 1 to collect a ton of non-rainbow ki spheres. You still won't do any damage. That is until the next turn. Once the gague lowers the reduction, then you'll be able to do damage

@@kristopherthompson1342 yeah, u're right. i was assuming that every non-rainbow ki sphere would reduce her damage reduction by x%, but that's not how it works, and the fact that they did a poor explanation made it even more confusing. The reason why she recovers from debuffs is because is a new "character", a new Bulla with less Damage Reduction that comes in at the start of the turn.

You WANT to fill the gauge. That's how her DR goes down. Which is also why it goes up with non-rainbow spheres.

No,her damage reduction goes down per non rainbow ki sphere obtained(it was stated in the game so it's not my opinion).Filling the gauge will remove all the status effect you inflicted her,so filling the gauge is definitely not a good thing,cause that girl hit hard,even with normal attacks if you don't have high damage reduction, guard or high/great dodge chance.

BTW this stage has a chance to hit even harder then Gogeta and Janemba.(They SA for like 4.5 Million). Yea Bulla has a chance to SA for 17.1 Million

Them using a gauge was a poor choice, because in every other stage, a gauge on the enemy represents a BOOST for them. But in this fight, maxing the gauge is actually a DEBUFF for Bulla. As others have explained, they make it sound like each non-rainbow orb lowers her DR, but non-rainbows fill the gauge and filling that triggers a DR debuff.

I've just finished this stage and I have no idea how the whole mechanic works. 😂 I like that there's some more innovative levels coming to the game, beyond 'beat 7 bazillion HP boss.' I just feel stoopid for not understanding them. 👀

So the way I went about yes... I went with Roshi but I tried using the world tournament dokkan fest Goku and I won by just not getting gauge to max since even when I didn't pick a rainbow ki sphere her defense was high, so I just went less orbs the better with the team I ran.

Bulla was surprisingly easy, I just one tapped her. Team was AGL Android 21 (Lead), INT Cheelai, TEQ Caulifla, STR Kale, STR Kefla, TEQ Kyawei, and a friend STR Videl. Cheelai and Kyawei just kept her in a constant state of being unable to super attack the whole fight and it was over before long. I had a Whis item and Icarus memory, but I don't think I used either of them.

Event is garabage. So bugged.. bar goes ip weirher or not u gwt rainbow or non rainbow. There is no logic

Not bugged at all, bar goes up by a little bit for every non-rainbow orb you pick, once you fill the bar the DR of bulla goes down by 20% (She starts with 100% DR, you fill gauge bar and next turn she will have 80%, fill it again and next turn she will have 60% and so on...) so you want to fill the gauge bar to deal more damage to her, and obviously each time you fill the bar the debuffs on her get removed and the nex time it requires you to get more orbs, just that easy
