I honestly think MMX3 is definitely one of the better soundtracks in the series, but Blaze Heatnix will always be one of my favorite themes. It's just so intense and gets you pumped up. I even have it on my playlist for the gym.

I think almost everyone here would agree with you that you got X4 and X5 correct. They are both iconic and X vs Zero is considered the greatest song in the X series and one of the greatest video game songs of all time. Same with Mega Man X4's X's theme. I also think you nailed it on all the original trilogy also, Kuwanger is just too good, Zero's themes are god damn epic in X2 and X3. I think though you would of picked X6's Japanese ending credits but they took it out of the collections. But other wise all 8 of your choices make sense to me.

My list X1: Sigma stage 1 (its hard to choose one from the first game, most of them are great) X2: Flame Stag (X2 got good songs, but I think they are all too short, and you get bored with the loop quick) X3: Zero Theme (X3 got great songs, but this one is surely the best, in both snes and ps1 versions) X4: Vs Sigma (X4 got the least memorable songs to me, idk they feel like the same, maybe because of the sound font, but I like the sigma fight theme and iris theme) X5: Dynamo (X5 got my favourite songs its also hard to pick one) X6: Intro stage (X6 got a good sound track but for me some feels too much, almost like the audio quality was broken, but it got its highs) X7: Vs Sigma (the best X7 song, most of the ost is great, specially if you play the japanese version, because without the terrible english dub distracting me, I can actually enjoy the songs) X8: Intermission (the stage theme, not the menu shortened version! Most of the X8 songs are near perfection, the complement the ambient very well, the game got my second favourite ost) Command Mission: the intro theme (Command mission got good songs, but man they are short, and hear them looping on a slow turn based combat game makes me want to turn the audio off) Maverick Hunter X: Intro Stage (for the remixes this one is the best, the others sound as great as the original X1, but most of the songs just sound better on the snes version, maybe its just nostalgia?) Its sad that you skipped some songs, but we don't need a 2 hours long video, right?

x1-no x2-mmmm, no, but more of a yes than x1 x3-some of x3's themes feel very lazy and uninspired, top 10 best themes in each game it's comparable, but the entire soundtrack is mixed, where as the entire game for x and x2 so far are 100% bangers. Eventually, you need to make a worsts for Mega Man X songs. While I know you restrict yourself to almost entirely stage songs, I'll say that Dr. Light's capsule theme from the SNES version of MMX3 is the worst in that game (at least the PlayStation version of the theme is decently nice).

Mega Man X6 has horrible level design but in my opinion it has by far the best soundtrack of all Mega Man X games. I only visit the Blaze Heatnix Stage because I love the music in it. On several occasions, I used the infinity Mijinion music to motivate myself - even if the intro wants to make you sing "Final Countdown" :D But the whole series has lots of good music, even the infamous MMX7 has some good tracks. MMX5s "X vs. Zero" Theme is one of my favourite Boss Battle Themes in any game. Some thoughts on the songs... In X3, Neon Tiger's music sounds like part of "My Michelle" by Guns 'N' Roses. The intro music for X5 is a remix of Zero's second theme (not the action one, but the one after that). A remix of it is heard in X6 if you can find Zero. Mega Man X5 has both one X2 theme (Bubble Crab) and two X1 themes (Sigma fortress boss for Rangda Banga, as well as Zero's second theme, as I Said). In X6, twice again there's X2...both Agile's level is remixed, but so are the two Sigma themes from the same game (for the final boss). In X8, the coolest themes are....Ilumine's theme (when fighting the first round), and also, you need a solid banger? Ironically, it's the elevator music. Not as in "Muzak", but the music for that Elevator level!

The Hunter vs Hunter is indisputable in being the BEST song of all the Mega Man X games; it is just such a good song that is so perfect for the fight. I like the fight in general and how they both use weapons from the 4th game...well obviously they're better or at least Soul Crusher which is insane shooting like 7 clones instead of just making one clone. I don't think there is a difference with Frost Walrus' weapon charged or Storm Owl's weapon charged. I also like that Mega Man pulls out the big guns for the fight and calls on the Ultimate Armor knowing he needs the most powerful weapon he has to stand a chance against Zero.
