Yeah wisdom teeth extractions are very simple. Whereas getting a tooth pulled out, it is the worst thing that can you can imagine. It's even worse than how a root canal sounds when you never had one! I had one and it was not horrible. Though I had to be numbed 3 separate times. It could have been just how my body reacted to the anesthesia but after the 3rd numb, it was smooth sailing. I'm about to get 2 teeth pulled out and I had a lot of money spent on dental care because I was neglecting proper care and I am paying the price for it. But, the good thing is that this is a wake up call for me and I've been doing so much better now. Just kinda pissed my old dentist wasn't cleaning my gums properly though.

I got 3 teeth removed in 2019 and 3 teeth removed yesterday so now I can get braces in a month :) I’m so happy! My dentist is so nice, when the teeth came out, I didn’t even know! I’ve had no pain because I take Advil every 2 hours! :) I feel way better and it’s been 24 hours and I am carefully consuming my regular diet! If you are getting teeth pulled soon, it’s not bad! After all, it’s worth it in the end! :) the worst part is not being able to swallow well, but with practice you learn a way! I kind of open my mouth and hold my cheeks then swallow and that helps! I couldn’t talk for 20 hours, but now I’m slowing floating back into talking normal and I got the teeth removed yesterday evening!

I got my Tooth Extracted Dec. 5 2020. I was going thru Sooooo much pain before I got it pulled. I was so Scared to get it pulled. Thank God the Pain wasn't to bad getting it pulled. The only thing that hurted was the Needle to Numb the area. After that it didn't hurt at all. I followed all the Drs. Post op instructions and it is healing nicely. I have no more Pain at all Thank God. Tooth pain Aint ain't no punk! If you are thinking about getting your tooth pulled don't be afraid. Pray and get it done. Good Luck to Everyone. Be Blessed.

The spawning Dog the update is I have to wait till Monday cause the dentist didn’t give me any meds like they should’ve weeks prior ive been on some other tooth medication stuff and when I was about to get it extracted it started hurting and they then suggest an oral surgeon but I have to go to a dentist over an hour away to get the abscess and tooth out maybe just get a root canal and abscess remove stuff

After 10 years of not having dental insurance i finally went today 9/4/24 because i have dental insurance now. Turns out they dont cover tooth extractions with bone grafts. I had to pay 1900 out of pocket, but i got two molars extracted, one on each side of my mouth i have slight discomfort and a slight head ache but that the worst i hope! I hope i do everything correctly to heal up fast and right

I Try having 3 teeth pulled! I had one pulled in 2017 and 3 years later, I'm getting two teeth pulled. Though it's for a big reason since I have a chipped one and I actually have one tooth that wants to come out but it's blocked by a crooked tooth so that one is getting pulled in hopes that my "shark tooth" as I call it, will pop up in the empty space. Though, it is not going to be fun hearing the popping from my chipped tooth because it's right under my left ear and my hearing is sensitive and hearing those sounds, you never forget them. It's like a horror movie sound effect of a bone popping, except it's the real deal! Worst of all, when I had my first tooth pulled, I had a horrible surprise when I woke up the day after it was pulled. My white t shirt collar was soaked in dry blood! It was as if I stepped out of a horror movie!

Donot brush the teeth adjacent to extraction site for 24 hours. After 24 hours you may brush very carefully and rinse with warm saline. For clearing of food particles just rinse with warm saline but after 24 hours. Resume your normal routine after 48 hours.

I've seen a lot of after care articles and video's. All of them differ slightly, why is that? For example, you say not to smoke for at least 24 hours, some say 72 hours and some say 5 days. Why is that? Is there actual research done about this?

Your question is really interesting and valid. Initial healing starts with in 24 hours therefore 24 and 48 hours is safe. 72 hours is extra cautious. I will definitely look into articles to see the latest evidence. But remember smoking is injurious to health 😊

I had a major tooth infection and had to get a molar removed 2 weeks ago. There was no pain due to the amount of pain it caused me. I took so many antibiotics that they stopped working for me. My dentist didnt give me any instructions for aftercare or making a follow up appointment. At 2 weeks it's safe to do pretty much everything right? I have been smoking (after 80 hours after removal) but I dont want to risk anything happening to the extraction site. It looks healed but there is no instruction for when I can resume everything normally.

lets keep it simple.. Donot brush after extraction for atleast 8 hours. After 8 hours brush the teeth care avoiding teeth adjacent to extraction site. Resume your normal oral hygiene practices (flossing) after 24 hours.

Got my 4 teeth extracted....I went to the dentist two times ( two teeth on a day) and plucked my teeth....first time when I went I was soooo scared🤧🥵🥵I am scared of injections and they took 2 injections for one tooth🥵 but it was not at all painfull for me ...I had one painkiller before the effect of injection goes and then I didn't have any pain at all( first time when I plucked). And when I went to pluck my teeth the second time ( yesterday) I was not that scared though I was a bit scared .....this time my two teeth where very strong that doctor took so much time to get that teeth...so today it's very painfull🥵not like the first time I plucked my teeth...hope it recovers soon .....and yeah I am gonna put the braces on Monday 🥳

I got mine extracted two days ago! Didn’t pay heed to anything Doctor said🤭😂 I couldn’t swallow the saliva, I spat soon as I got out of the clinic. I also threw the gauze Doctor asked to bite on, and I realised I didn’t have an extra, so got my face tissue out and bit on it until I got home and drank water and took the meds I was supposed to take. And drank on straw shortly after 😂😂 And then went on cold compressing it and had sticky rice for dinner later and brushed with paste on but avoided the extraction area 😂 By God’s grace nothing went wrong but always advisable to listen to the experts, they know best! I am getting another extraction today,I am going to pay heed to what the Doc says hereafter, dont want to take no chances Ps:To this day I keep forgetting to salt rinse 🌚

Hi Good Day I just got my teeth taking out for the first time it was 2 teeth’s most of the swollen and blood as stop from bleeding heavily went it was first pull out at 6pm today now it’s 10:30pm but my Gumbs is still bleeding a bit and by mistake I rinks my mouth multiple time I didn’t know that was bad to do till I watch this video on KZbin so can how I can’t rinks my mouth does I have to wait till went ever the bleeding stop that’s why question??

If you spit there is a chance that blood clot will not from and that may result in continuous post operative bleeding or in other cases pain few days after extraction.

Hi After 2 days Ideally there shouldn't be any pain. If the pain is severe visit your dentist 🦷. Otherwise take medications and you will be fine 🙂

There is no need to keep changing gauze again and again. Just remove after 30 mins and follow all the instructions. Take your medicines prescribed by your doctor. Keep your pillow a bit High and enjoy sleep !
