Tooth & Fang takes a closer look at why the management of coyotes is necessary across the West. Filmed over the course of three years this film showcases some perspective as to why we hunt coyotes and why achieving a balance is important on so many levels.
Music: Lights & Motion "Reborn", Athletics "August" By Arrangement with Deep Elm Records www.deepelm.com
Supported by: The Hunting Shack | Vortex Optics | Snowy Mountain Rifles

Y’all are the best! If there were ever to be an Academy Award for outdoor video production, y’all would be consistent winners. The color, angles, perspectives, and richness of your experiences are world class. Without trying to sound macabre, as a life-long coyote hunter who has taken thousands of those creatures, I wish I could be a hunter in one of your videos so that it could be played at my funeral so that all in attendance could see the world I lived in. Blessing to you and all that participate in your marvelous product. Martin W. Duke.

Great job not only hunting coyotes, but explaining why it is important to do so. One of the most informational videos I’ve seen while backing it up with facts (and fun). Brilliant cinematography and editing as well. Loved all of your top notch content over the past 7 years. Keep up the good work.

Southern Cal is starting to see more coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions in populated areas such as ours. We have had coyotes since we moved here 30 years ago,but never until now saw bobcats and lions. The city dwellers move here, then freak out when their pet cat wasn't smart enough to stay inside.

Coyotes are EVERYWHERE! Here in Oregon I live about 20 miles east of Portland among rural nurseries and we got such bad predator problems from coyotes and even mountain lions that it's futile to raise goats, chickens, rabbits, or any other smaller livestock! I lost a large population of free range chickens a couple years ago to coyotes. Free range chickens are sooo much happier and their eggs are perky and fresh, attesting to the increase of protein in their diet! Lost over two dozen in the early dawn one summer morning in less than 5 minutes! Our grand kids used to love playing around our semi-wooded property but since a lion killed two of our dogs on separate occasions, that no longer seems a safe option! One dog got snatched not more than 30ft away from us while the wife was tending a garden and I was working on our pickup, banging on a wheel rim making lots of noise!) Now if wife and/or grand kids go outside they only do so if Grandma or myself are armed and watching over them! The excessive lion population is due to Oregon lawmakers forbidding hunting them, especially with dogs! Now we got generations of lion offspring who are not the least bit afraid of humans! I think the Oregon legislature has gotten enough flak from this that they have allowed limited hunting of lions but still no dogs!!

It would've also been good to mention the wide array of studies coming out about coyote predation, and how they regulate their populations (the more you kill, the more pups the females have). If there's anything history has told us, we can't control the coyote population. I'm not against coyote hunting, but I am one for knowing all the science and history behind an animal. Cool video.

Just throwing this out there for what it is worth but the coyote that was killed eating a dead calf it is implied that the coyotes had killed him but it would appear to me that it was born dead and or froze to death shortly after birth . Its head and tongue are swollen and it is ears seem pinned back meaning he probably was never able to move them . Those signs indicate a difficult birth. Otherwise I really like this film and had very very good camera work ! Very nice viewing experience .
